  1. Hi Mate,

I've got mine done by OziCozi back in 2009 for my W204 for $750 [ Full Bonnet + Full Roof (with SunRoof cut) + Head Lights + Side Mirrors + Door Cups] which were very cheap!! unfortunately he wont do it any more when I asked him to do my IS250. So I left with InvisibleCarBras that charges me $1500 for Full Bonnet, Full Bumper, Full Side Guards, Side Mirrors + Door Cup + Trunk Opening ]

I decided to go for it because of my car is Black and I hate the Swirl Marks on black car and cleaning up the Birds SAP is like a walk in the park now...

    Good luck with yours mate!

omg .... glad I'm not the only one. my bonnet looks like it has rabies.

the stone chips are so bad, I'm thinking of respraying the whole bonnet. I got a quote for $400 just for the bonnet.

How did the ventureshield stone guard kit go? Apparently it cost $1400 for the bonnet, front bumper and side mirrors?

It's great, I only have one small knock where I think a large-ish stone hit the lower front bumber and left a mark on the bra. The bumper underneath is fine though!

I paid $690ish for the standard kit, then got the door cups and door edges done for $100 extra iirc.

Well worth it, a colleague of mine's (jonnydrama) is250 which was recently traded in has stone chips everywhere, almost looked like swiss cheese. Had it been a private sale or dealer trade in, I shudder to think at the markdown in value!

Thanks for the info. $690 is worth it. Wouldn't pay over $1000. I'll probably respray first and then get the kit. Perhaps can have a look at the next meeting? :)

  2. Hey M8, Sorry about your stone chips on the Black Paint. I feel your pain. I owned Black Liberty and Black W203 earlier and both of them suffers the stone chips. When I purchased my W204 I decided to have the Full Bonnet and Roof protected with the 3M Venture Shield and it's been 2 years no and am very Happy with the quality of the shield. I picked up my IS250 (Black) last year and did the full Front on the kit. And I can be proud that my car has no Swirl Mark nor Stone Chip (I've been driving to the Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island) and no problem at all....

    just my 2 cents...

Btw, I did mine with Ozicozi (for W204) and Invisiblecarbras for IS250.

I'm actually going to get a Ventureshield stone guard kit applied soon (hopefully within a month) from these guys: http://www.universal...m.au/index.html

Will let you know how it goes! The USA guys rave about these kits.

Looking good so far, not a fan of the chrome strip on the trunk though. Any plans to lower it?

Thanks for your feedback mate. I try to match the chrome with my W204...and It's lowered with the BC CoilOvers --> 1 Finger to be exact...

    Hey Everyone,

Haven't really seen many f-sports on here or even on the road so thought I'd upload some of my pics. Haven't done any mods to it yet but thinking of tinting rear lights (Except for white parts) and getting angel eyes or something to match the white bi xenon lights. Also thinking of spray painting the lights (not the bulbs) black as well. Anyone got any ideas? My brother thinks I should paint the rims black - im not so sure though. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks guys!

    Mike

I like the ISF spoiler! Not a fan of smoking lights or angel eyes though - maybe HID fogs to match the headlights? I would leave the rims as well, a bit of contrast is good - all my opinion of course!

Damn Mike, your car looks great! Loving the carbon engine cover, ISF wheels and illuminated scuff plates - any more mods in the near future?

Hey Mike, just wondring where did you purchase your F-Sport Intake? so far I only know you can get it from Sewell but the shipping cost is very dear....Anybody know where to get it cheaper?

  5. Good to hear that someone shares the same passion with Lexus. I think they are a really good Car!

Being a fan of Mercedes Benz for sometimes (own the W203 and traded that to W204), we just upgraded my wife's Mazda 6 to IS250 Prestige 2 weeks ago and honestly, we loving it so much now more than the w204.

We bought the car from Lexus of Brighton and we found the Service was very average. We've been there 3 weekend in a row and the only thing that we enjoy was the Coffee and bottle of water. Maybe because we bought the Demo car, we got different level of service but I can say Ian the GM does not impress me at all with his attitude.

I've owned 4 other cars in the past (Lancer, Astra, Subaru Liberty 04, Mercedes C class and now Lexus), to be honest, the best Service I've sI o far is from the SouthMelbourne Mercedes, we even bought him an expensive give to show that his service was outstanding.

I didn't even get a keyring when I picked up the car...from Lexus Brighton...and when my wife left the Etag on the old car, I have to drive back to pick it up. Come on, postage is not that Expensive!!!

    Anyway that's my 2 cents....

  6. Cheers for that mate. I'm not sure if everyone has any experience with MTEC HID Kit, I used them last time on my Liberty 2.5i and found it pretty good. Anyone has convert their Welcome Lights to white LED? and where can we buy good Fab Body Kit in Australia?

thanks in advance from any responses

PS: Got a quote for OEM boot Spoiler for $600 from Lexus of Melbourne which I found a rip off (My wife's car W204 spoiler only cost $550 painted from MB South Melbourne). Can you get the OEM lip spoiler any cheaper?

    thanks

  7. Fellas,

Proud owner of a new IS250 Prestige MY09 and started to love this forum so much now...gained lots of useful information. First mod I've done so far was to protect the pain (3M Venture Shield). Next one on my list was the lights, basically will replace anything that is yellow with WHITE LED/LIGHTS. Any suggestion guys? as in where to buy a good reliable LED and would like to do it in this order: Interior, Welcome Lights, HeadLights.

Next on the list I guess is the Boot Lip Spoiler as well as the Body Kit...Anyone have any experience where to buy Fabulous Body Kit from Australia?

that's pretty much my post :-) awaiting for the expert replies...

    till next time....
