  1. I recently replaced my front pads and rotors. I went for ebc blacks. I think they call them ultimax. I wouldn't recommend them. Black by name, black by nature. Wheels started to turn black on the way back from the car wash. They do stop well though. With the rotors, They are the same for Aurion so check out the price for Aurion rotors. The part numbers are different but the rotors are the same. There is another toyota model that takes the same one too but I cant remember which one it is. The reason im letting you know this is that maybe because they are for a lexus, You might be paying a premium.

Has anyone tried the GCT's. Are they cleaner?

    Cheers

  2. The unit arrived as promised with the specific lexus patch lead. A few problems with the emulation. For people doing it themselves, the easy way for the emulation to begin is to have the ignition on, the unit in program mode and then connect the unit to the car and bingo:lol:

the beeping starts and away you go.

I mounted the unit by making a bracket and then attached it to the two M6 studs that hang down above the glovebox. This way I could the earth the unit which is what the makers have suggested is the best way. This reduces the chances of earth loops which could cause noise. The glovebox itself needs to be removed to gain access to the studs.

I am totally happy with the product. I have used various aftermarket systems before with ipod controllers fitted, namely Pioneer's AVIC and Eclipses AVN6000 and this is every bit as good if not better for sound quality and ease of use.

    I highly recommend it

    Purchased from Advanced Ice

    Part no SL2i - L

Price, $305 delivered. I have a parts business. I can purchase for you and send it to you if that would save you any money

  3. I actually took the panels out yesterday and up close I can see the slither of veneer on the plastic. It still doesnt change my mind about the "wood". If someone has the sport and wants to add some luxury to their ride, we may be able to do a swap. Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love the car to bits, Just not the centre console bit. I guess its more the colour than anything.

I hope I havent offended anyone as that was not my intention.

    Cheers all

  4. I have tried Eibach themselves. Is there places around that specialize in our cars . Who Knows, they might have a set in the back corner of their parts room. Any chances of some names? I wouldn't know where to start.

edit, I have just ordered the springs from the States. AUD372 delivered which is just short of $200 cheaper than I could get them from over here. I got them off ebay if anyone else is interested

  5. HI all

I have read this section with great interest. Im thinking of lowering mine by about 1 inch. Has anyone else done this? I have fitted 18s to the car and I am happy with the ride quality. What I am concerened about is loosing ride quality with lowering it. Also, I know to some cars fitting sway bars changes the handling heaps and makes the cars so much more predictable. This was true for my Subaru Liberty. The rear bar was hollow originally. From your experiences is it a worthwhile upgrade for the IS250 or just a waste of cash. Sorry about all the questions
