  1. in my job I drive a lot and I need to be able to place calls from the car. However my 2006 model Lexus IS250 Sports Luxury with Nav, comes with the worlds crappiest voice recognition system. you actually have to manually record voice tags for each contact before you can use voice recognition. I just simply cannot do this because I have over a 1000 contacts on my phone. The steps to place a call are insane, first press dial key on the steering wheel then press voice recognition key, then speak the pre recorded voice tag, then press the dial switch on the touch screen to place the call! despite all the safety features on the Lexus like not being able to enter destination while driving, I'm pretty sure this crappy bluetooth system would have killed a few people. Does anyone know how to bypass the Lexus' inbuilt phone system and just go straight to the phone's voice recognition? Even my base model Mitsubishi Lancer ES that I had before this car could do it.
