  1. Sorry to hear mate. Luckily it was only a small tap. Just make sure whatever shop you go with that they match the bumper to the rest of the car's paint as best as possible. Plastic and metal will never match 100% perfectly, even on new cars if you look closely. However a badly painted bumper will stick out like a sore thumb as it may be too light or too dark compared to the rest of the car.

Be sure to inspect the colour match both in good lighting and bad lighting conditions. Some painters only paint for either 1 of the conditions to colour match. Good luck.

  2. I am 39 years old with a rating 1 for life. I did further enquiries with Lexus of Adelaide and they also have a Lexus insurance available for Lexus owners. The quote was for $1500.00. I will review their policy and see the difference with AAMI. Revolution how do you find AAMI?

Haven't needed to make a claim with AAMI so far *touch wood* so I can't really tell you how they are like. But from a pre-claim point of view they have good customer service, which I guess any company is like until they need to pay up. I am thinking of switching to Lexus of Chatswood's insurance for the next year depending on their pricing and what's provided. I am thinking so because they use the body shop that is located right next door to their service center which I have seen a few ISF's go in for repairs and have heard good things about them.

My previous daily driver was insured with Coles Insurance which I will highly NOT RECOMMEND to anyone. They are the biggest prick's of all time and have the worst claim system/process ever!!!

  3. Finally got around to dropping my car off for the first service at Chatswood Lexus. Couldn't praise the Chatswood Lexus service team more (Sid, Justin and the crew) for taking the extra effort to be extra careful with my car as it was just detailed and I am super pedantic.

I didn't service my previous cars at dealers since they usually do a sloppy job at best. But I will certainly be returning to Chatswood for all services!!! Big thumbs up :D

  4. Hi all,

I am due for my first service and have booked Chatswood next Friday. Just want to confirm what is done on the first service? Is it just a simple oil change?

Also am I able to request no test drive be performed? The car has like <3500km's and nothing is wrong. As with my past car I didn't let the dealer test drive it on the first service due to some bad stories I have heard where apprentice mechanics take cars out for a hoon.

    Thanks all B)

  5. Completely normal. Mine did it from 0km's brand new. There is a thread on it somewhere. Next time if you have your air-con off and it's idling @ 500RPM's, try flicking the headlight's on, even just the park light (one notch). The RPM's will jump to about 750RPM's.

Seems like if no accessories are on then it idle's at a low 500RPM's.

  6. Looks fantastic, are these products readily available, zaino?, pinnacle wax and dodojuice? Thanks

The Dodo Juice Supernaturnal I use is not exactly cheap but 1 jar like that one below lasts a really long time:

Car care products carries most of the major brands including Zaino aswell:

  7. good to see another F owner on board

make sure you post up pics when you get it

Hey BTW, are you Danny over at the other forums like JDMST? If so, we met ages ago when back in Mac Uni, you bought a Cusco brake stopper from me for your EG. I used to always see your car at the Korean church at Ermington.

  8. Picked it up on Saturday. Luckily it was nice and sunny so had a nice drive around in it. Really like the small things on the car like the white LED lights in the footwell, lights on the bottom of the side mirrors that light up as you walk close to the car and most importantly the torque it has :-)

So far I got the fuel average down to almost 17L/100km, what is everyone else getting?

  9. The IS350 F Sport is really quick!! I took it out for a drive and it doesn't lack in power at all to keep up to an ISF!!!

I had an '07 Honda S2000 before and it was a great handling car, but boy did the 350 F Sport handle aswell. Car feels very very planted.

I was tempted to just get a 350 F Sport but in the end I couldn't resist that torque and sound from the V8, I am a sucker for big torque :-)

  10. Hi,

I considered the M3 and C63 which is within the same class. Weighing everything together (Price, comfort, build quality, reliability, maintenance) I chose the ISF. The C63 and M3 actually costs more than what I originally budgeted for but was willing to go to that price bracket if it was worth it for me personally.

In the end I wasn't looking for the outright fastest car but more of an overall balanced daily driver to suit me out of the 3. I also need a 4dr and the 3 series 4 dr just doesn't do it for me. Really wanted a C63 but overall will cost alot more with maintenance added into the factors.

  11. Hi all,

My name is Vincent from Sydney. Ordered a MY11 pearl white ISF from Lexus of Chatswood, hopefully coming this week (Can anyone tell me how long it takes a car to come from Adelaide to Sydney?). Will post up some pics when I get the car and hope to meet some of you on the next meet :)
