  1. For some reason other people are offering me autoholic.

    So far i've been getting 150 - 200 ranges.

lol one guy offered me 150 posted... i'd rather chuck it in the bin then bother. Get back to me if you want. Otherwise I'm just going to chuck it in the bin.

Hey 334mm, actually i was looking for a used one for the cheaper price lol. It all started when i saw k2sty1's thread selling for 100ono. But yours is practically brand new so i wont even waste your time offering that amount. So if you could do me a favor, put it back on, drive around with it more and sell it to me for cheap ;)

but hey, if youre going throw it in the bin, i dont mind being a bin for once :D

    cheers

  2. Hey guys, looking for a used CAI/Short Ram Intake for my 2IS250. Also interested in aftermarket exhaust, still not set on a specific brand so let me know what you got. If anyone got one for sale please let me know. 0433368711 or PM me thank you

  3. They should 'settle' after a few days a be a bit lower. Nice choice though, seems to have dropped it a nice level. Got any bigger photos man? Interested in seeing your wheels haha

Hey Jay, i think its settled by now :P I feel it is slightly lower now than on the pics above. The pics are taken on my iphone so i guess its small :P taking it with a camera takes too much work uploading lol but i will do it for you guys haha. But give me some time, really busy with prepping for my exams :( consequence of skipping too much classes lol.

  4. Hey guys, sorry been busy these few days with uni and all. So thursday morning my springs arrived, was so happy but that day i had full day filled with classes so unfortunately i had to wait till friday night to get it installed. Friday i went to my work place and wait till it closed, then drove my car up the hoist (at about 6pm) and started prepping (taking engine covers and boot covers off). Then me and my boss went to get some maccas around the corner (i know no one cares, i just felt like writing about everything that happened that night :P). Then the real work begun, I worked on the fronts first, fronts were very straight forward, just had to undo a couple of bolts and the suspension is off. Though it was straight forward, i was very slow at it because it was my first time working on suspension work. So anyways following up to the bumper stop enquiry i had somewhere up in this thread, the answer was i had to cut 2/3rd of it as stated in the instructions that came with the RM. So after the fronts were done, did the back, had to think how to get it off because it wasnt shown in stormtrooper's video, afterall it was easy, but had to go through some unnecessary unscrewing to work that out.

After all the suspension were back in place, i just had to put all the covers back and it was ready. I slapped on my new shoes and lowered the hoist. It was 11:45pm when i drove out the garage. So yeah it took quite a while but as i said its my first time so i had to triple check everything and luckily no bolts went missing and all went back into place smoothly without breaking anything :) Then i drove up to BP at Swans St Burnley to give my car a wash and here is what my baby looks like.

Overall the springs are not bad, the comfort feels like stock. I wish it was a little stiffer so i feel like im driving on a modded car lol but anyways im pretty happy. And also its not as low as i IMAGINED, i was disappointed that it did not scrap while going down to my parking spot :P the pics are taken from 30 mins-1.5hrs after the car was lowered, not sure whether it settled yet but this morning the car does look a LITTLE lower.

  5. So as some of you might know, i've had my 06 is250 for a little more than a month now.

So 2 weeks in to getting the lexus, i thought i would clean the throttle body as i seen on other lexus forums that people have been doing it to get better fuel consumption. My fuel consumption in the city after i bought the car is around 12-13L/100km. When i step on the throttle pedal, the first few centimeters doesnt feel like it have any response but after that the response is good, though it kicks down pretty easily (now after i cleaned it, it only kicks down when i step very deep). The gear changes were smooth.

After the throttle body cleaned (i did as much research as i could and followed them thoroughly):

Right after the throttle body is cleaned, and the engine is started, it revs very high around 1800 rpm and there were some codes that turned on (like the traction control and some others). So i paniced and did more research and found that some people in clublexus experience this too after they cleaned their throttle body. Anyways what i did was keep turning it on and off around 5-7 times and the codes managed to turn off by itself but the revs were still at 1800rpm. So i left it overnight and the next day i turn it on again and the revs went down to around 1500rpm, still very high. As some people on clublexus say the revs goes back to normal after driving it several hundred K's or by restarting the battery. So i took the driving option and after several K's the revs(at idle) went down slowly. Now its back to normal but i feel its worse than before i cleaned it. Now my car revs around 1200rpm (im not sure if its normal, didnt pay attention on the revs before i cleaned the throttle body) every morning when warming up, my fuel consumption in the city goes up to around 15-16L/100km (though i noticed that the avg on display goes up when the car is on idle. And it does go up significantly quick), i feel that the gear changes arent as smooth as before. Ive travelled around 400K's after i had the throttle body cleaned. Does anyone know whats up with my car? :( I wish i had some lexus buddies that i know in melbourne. So i could give them a ride and see if it feels normal to them.

  6. Some springs will require you to cut the bump stops. Unless stated, I would just leave them as is. When I installed my S Techs, it was written in the instructions that the bump stops did not need to be cut. Let us know how it goes and post up some pics!

Thanks Jay, i will see whether it states in the instructions when i receive the springs. I've been calling aust post everyday this week to check on my spring's location (just in case the internet tracking isnt updated for the customers :P) They've arrived australia on monday, so the person said it should arrive at the end of this week or early next week, though by today its already 3 working days late, i am pretty disappointed as i am really eager on putting those things on and my rims. Well anyways, i cant do anything but wait IMPATIENTLY and pray every night that it will arrive the next morning. LOL. Will keep this thread updated :)

  7. It's paint safe if u heat it when u take the spoiler off. I think u said spoilers are cf made? So will

Be fine, or if made by PU, u will ruin the spoiler. I did that on my old is200 before. It's all good. Better use a low temp. Silicon. Seems u r selling them? So doesn't matter then lol

And the bump stop u could still put back, only the bottom out occurs only when suspension travels longer than b4 u cut them...

Cool cool, i will definitely do that, though i think only the top layer is CF, i will double check before use the silicone. Thanks for your help though :) haha its just that i could use some cash at the moment, but if unsold then i will use it lol. Thanks again

  8. Up for sale is a brand new Carbon Fiber Boot LIp and a brand new Carbon Fiber Roof Spoiler.

Reason for sale is due to need money for now, lol. Not an urgent sale though.

  9. Thanks Atlantis and Sherlockyou, i get the purpose now :) i will probably cut it, but not as much as stormtrooper did with his.

Last question is will there be an issue if i want to put it back to stock springs with the shortened stoppers?

@Sherlockyou: I would do that (using silicone glue/seal), just want to know if anyone has used it before, just scared its not paint safe or something. haha

  10. Thanks dennis.

So today i went to Aust Post to track on my item (cause the net wont update my status -_-) and they told me that the item has arrived Vic today (about time) and that it would be at the office in a day or two. So i will get it installed my myself and my colleague (i work at a tyre shop in burnley as a part timer), we do not do suspension work so this would not be easy, i did some research and i saw stormtrooper's (stevemeade) is250 lowered on road magnet. So the photos were pretty clear but there was one thing i did not understand, he cut the yellow rubber thingy thats supposed to be at the bottom of the suspension. so does anyone know why he did that? do i have to do that? because i prefer to keep things in a way that i can reverse it when i was to make it back to stock.

so heres the website guys, i would appreciate all the input. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/85142-lexus-is250-dropped-on-road-magnet-springs-pics-vid/

and yes i did try to ask steve but no reply so i was hoping you guys could help :P Thanks :)
