  1. how could you guys get such a low fuel consumption? Mine is IS350, the fuel light is on at 380Km. (14km drive per day + city drive tho) 98 fuel always !!!
  2. Good to hear it mate. Enjoy !!!! Btw....have you noticed any power loss at low rev?
  3. Congrats Chris! How did you go with the intake?
  4. my 350 has rattle too. I dropped it to Chatswood Lexus 3 times just purely for the rattle fix. Unfortunately, its still negative outcome. I can tell the technician started to feel annoyed on me on the third visit. Honestly, i don't want to waste my time to keep dropping the car to dealer. I'm just trying to live with the rattle now....I dropped my car 4 times to the dealer last year (including the cam gear change). I think its more than enough for me!!!!!!! and yea...what a joke !!!!! we are talking about Lexus !!! its classified as luxury car (correct me if am wrong). Its not the noise we are expecting. Not sure if 3IS would have this kinda rattle. good luck guys for the fix.
  5. No. i didn't hit everything. Monday was raining. i thought it happened due to the wet type plus the carpark surface.
  6. Hi guys, am not sure if my IS has the steering problem. The steering is now very very light. It has started since Monday. There is no warning light and oil leaking at all. Also, no change for the typre pressure. Is it something wrong with the power steering? But.... If in case the power steering has failed, the steering should be very heavy rather than light (correct me if i'm wrong). I am a bit worry about driving it on highway, considering i always have a new born in the car. Any input would be appreciated.
  7. i actually just emailed Lexus the change of ownership form earlier this week. I also mentioned about the recall in the email. The guy from Lexus Customer Service called me within an hr after sending the email. What a great service !!!!! But......the bad news is ...He confirmed my car is in the recall list. He said i will receive the letter by this week.
  8. Well....i have been received all the promotion and update letters from Lexus. That's why i presume they have my car details and personal info etc.... in the customer database. (Correct me if am wrong) ...
  9. Lexus Chatswood. Hm...i would doubt the facelifted model we have here is issue-fixed. (like excessive brake dust, cam gear etc....) They claimed those known issues are all fixed for the facelifted model. But...maybe just for US ? i dunno. As for the recall, i just realized i didn't change the owner details when i bought it. Its been serviced by Lexus chatswood tho. Would that be a risk that i don't receive the letter?
  10. DO IT: I was referring to 350. I believe the recall is ONLY for 350 & RX anyway right (correct me if am wrong). With the cam gear issue, apparently, i believe its not the case. I had the cam gear replaced due the start up rattle. I had the 250 before, and am fortune enough that the 250 had the same cam gear issue as well haha. Having said that, Lexus fixed both without a question. You mentioned the facelifted model shouldn't hv the rattle issue. Does it mean my car has already completed the recall coz the cam gear has been replaced? I presume the new cam gear should have the modified part right?
  11. Has anyone received any further update on this? Is this recall related to the cam-gear issue? I have no clue about that honestly. Actually, i just had the cam-gear replaced due to the start up rattle. The guy from Lexus told me i might not be affected on this recall because i just have the modified part in the car now. Does it make sense at all?
  12. Hi FrankyX. congrats for your new ride. Also, thx for the info, and great points. hm...actually if the price is still staying at high 70k next year, i might consider other options (S3, CLA45 AMG, A45). Mine was 71k drive away btw........its 11 model. The first 2IS was released in 2006 right? So, Lexus is stripping off 1.3k from the initial price each yr lol. We have had only one 3IS (350F) owner on this forum so far ?
  13. Like i said, if the change over is 30k, its no way i will trade it in.Considering am not that impressed after the test drive. especially for 0-100 acceleration. I feel that my car is even faster on that. So, practically, (if i do trade in) that 30k is just for the new look, gauge, and better handling. I can't justify to spend 30k on these. Any forum member here is at the same situation? btw......there is still no drive-away price been shared here. Anyone ?
  14. I just test drove the new IS (350 F sport). I like it, it looks more refined and aggressive than my 2IS (350 F sport too). No need to mention about the gauge and the new interior design, its brilliant. But... am i trading in my 2IS for this at this point. Nope......... Not sure if the demo car is still breaking in or not, i could somehow feel its kinda sluggish. And yes, i could actually feel the extra weight as well. Having said that, the cornering is better than mine tho. Also, the Sport mode works as well ( i could feel the difference straight away). For members whose have ordered the 3IS 350 F-sport, would you mind to share the deal price? The rep quoted me 81k drive away (with sunroof). If so, the change-over of my deal would be around 30k (presuming they can give 50k for my car). Mine is 11 model, and its relatively new and good condition. Is that 30k worth? For me, maybe NOT. I would think about if the change-over is 20k (i know am dreaming haha)
