Would you know if the height for BR Type RS Series be adjusted higher than your current ride height? It looks too aggressive to me. Doesn't say on their site the height range. was hoping to lower my rear by approx 1.5" and front 1".

Yeah they can, I left my coils as they were shipped to me however I can wind them up a inch or lower them about another 3/4 inch. This would be the same with the BR Type as well

I paid $1150 for the BC Racing V1 but if I could do it again, I wouldnt be a tight ass and gone the V2 for $1300. Picked them up from https://www.justjap.com/ including delivery (courier).

It costed me 3-4 hours of my time to install (Socket set, breaker bar, impact wrench, jack stands & jack) them otherwise you can get them installed for about $200-$400 depending on where and who.

I got some aftermarket design instead. I wanted something that wasn't too low. And all i really need it for is to cover up the damage so this lip actually does just that

Need to get quotes to paint and fit.

What did you end up going with... I did the same thing to my factory lip... didnt see a speed hump....

I picked up my Black 2008 IS250 X for 34K on road with 45K on the clock.... if only X made it in white, I told my self my next car had to be white but ended up with Black again....

I've had my BC's in for 4 days now and love them.... I havent adjusted the height as yet as I want the springs to settle first but still playing with the dampers.... but I think I got them right now and will put all the boot panels back in this weekend....

The only thing I hate is Melbourne CBD carparks..... not friendly to lowered cars....

Spent 2 days of research and procrastinating on how to install then... got off my ass and installed my coi lovers... I shoudnt of have been a tight ass and gotten the BC Racing V2 instead of V1 but I am still happy with them. Much easier to install than just springs...

After - I havent adjusted the height as yet - going to let them settle for a week but already happy how they sit. Only adjusted the damper... the factory setting was just a bit too hard

Agreed on the install side.... I was reading/watching a few installs and if you dont line up the top plate holes with the rest, it could be hit and miss for a while... plus i would need to get spring compressors etc..... <face palm>

I think you have convinced me to put in the extra $$$ and go for the BC coil covers... Online shopping time... =)

Also between the Prestige standard suspension and Sports, what's the difference? Only the height or different shocks as well?

I did notice in a early page on this thread that you had S.Tech's installed and only finding out today that my X had sports suspension installed made me reconsider to go S tech's. I actually dont mind the ride with the sports suspension.

I am also thinking of going BC Racing Coil Covers instead of the Tein's but think it would be a waste if all I'm after is a 1-1.5" drop....

Love this thread... I've been considering dropping my IS250 for a while and my mate has convinced me to do it... From the wealth of info and hope someone can confirm, I have a 08 250 X with sports suspension. Does this mean that there is already a 1/2 inch drop at the front already in comparison to the Prestige?

I'm currently tossing up between the Tein H.Tech & S.Tech's atm... I dont want to be installing Tien H.Tech's if they dont make any difference to the drop from the sports suspension I already have installed.

Sorry for a nooB question (hours of googling etc and trying to find the answer). Is there any difference between the Prestige standard suspension and Sports suspension? Just a different type of spring?

Lexus 'recondmends' that the car is serviced every 12 months or 15K, which ever comes first. I picked up my car with 48K on the clock but the car had been serviced up to 75K. So I've only had minor servicing done until I hit the 75K mark...

Even though its done 3K, its been a while since it had a service (degraded oil etc). If your pretty good with cars, you can just do a oil change by yourself or Lexus should be able to do a minor service for you. They will also check over the whole car for you to make sure its in good condition (body work, engine diagnostics etc) since you've just bought it...

Thats true. The stamp does increase resale values. I personally wouldn't buy a lexus if it wasnt serviced at one.

Same.. one of the first thing I checked. I had a few missing stamps but had the dealer call up and fax through the the records. Took mine to Melbourne City (I work in the city) and they backdated all the stamps for me.

Not a Melbourne to Sydney but to Adelaide a couple of days ago and was really impressed with the fuel economy (there were a few parts of the highway getting upgraded so going from 110 to 80 to 40 to 80 etc). Managed to a 720km trip in 3/4 of a tank (Still had about 15L in the tank so about another 120Km's). IS said my tank was avg 6.8L/100km...

I've pushed the fuel gauge past E (Distance to empty was - 0km) for another 20km until I gave in (didnt want to get stuck on a highway with no fuel). Filled a full tank and poured 62L so I still had 3L left... I think Lexus is too conservative on the 'Distance to Empty'

The only thing I hated about driving by myself for 8 hours, it was too quiet... =)

Your paying for the embedded Lexus stamp in your service book.... But if you dont know the non-lexus mechanic very well (I've heard too many shocking stories about places like K-mart, Ultratune etc - e.g. not replacing the oil filter, didn't tighten the sump plug etc), I would stick to Lexus dealership so at least the car has been serviced properly with what's required and parts..

I heard you can shop around between the Lexus dealers as well, so you could always give that a ago as well... I had my 52K service a few months ago and was slugged $500, the next one 64K is going to be around $750....

I had my IS250 properly polished which had removed all of the buffing marks, light scratches all over the car and as well as opti-coated (paint protection).

Newbie here - had my battery replaced by Lexus for $180. I know I could of have paid a lot less but didnt have the time to find the right one, install it, dispose of the old one, reprogram the car etc
