  1. Mine sits flush; looking at your pic yours should be as well; you should also be able to get that off without any hassles working the side that is sticking up (ie on the right). If you're scared be GENTLE and see where the give in it coming out is. Try and see; if you get stuck then take it somewhere; it won't be difficult though.

Here's hoping it is just not in right and there's nothing wrong with where it clips in

  2. Haha - wow, my uni friends are teasing my lexus and they have BMW's; first world problems

    You will get haters with anything you drive (or own for that matter). Best not to care about what anyone has to say;

personally nouveau riche Audi owners are my bug bear

  3. 350 f Sport. I want to move away from out and out sports cars and into something a but sedate. I drove it one whilst it doesn't get my adrenaline running the same way as my Skyline it was still great in a different way.

I've driven a lot of different things over the years and there's only one car I've preferred to my Skyline and another two that I rate equally as nice (albeit for different reasons)

Do you have more pics of the muscle cars?

  4. Eno that is one very diverse list; I like it.

My list; not nearly as extensive as some:

    87 ford meteor

    00 Toyota Camry v6

    06 WRX (current)

    94 R33 GTST (current)

Change in priorities now so the sports cars are going. Driven some awesome stuff in even better locations through the years but I'm now more focused on being outdoors and in the middle of no where. It's unfortunate be use my choice of cars and lifestyle don't match.

  5. i finally bought one today and with the prices dropping by phenonemal amounts i picked up a F-Sport, 2012 model with 2013 compliance for $62k drive away. i found quite a difference between the X and F-sport (left out prestige as x is cheaper at the moment, and more options and i don't like woodgrain as found in the luxury sport although the few extra options like the speed controlled cruise control would have been nice). Some basic differences between these two that i noticed:

    Front Grille

front bar has lip spoiler and looks more aggresive

seats are a massive difference to me - the F-sport has 'wrap around' style seats and feel much better (X seats are flatter in the wings so if you like spirited driving you will enjoy the seats in the F-sport)

electric reach and height steering on F-sport (manual adjust on X)

auto seats with memory for 3 people on F-sport (no memory on X)

different steering wheel material (i much prefer the f-sport wheel feel)

late 12 and 2013 complied have much better sat nav than earlier 2012 with HDD, bluetooth streaming, different button layout, etc

big one for me was that the X and prestige only come with interior trim (anything above the dash height) in the white (cream or whatever it is) no matter what car colour you choose whereas the F-sport is black trim throughout

seats in the X look nice with the red highlights in the material but i was happy with the flat black

F-sport has auto dimming rear view mirror and wing mirrors ( the wing mirrors are also fold-in on F-sport and have memory positioning linked to seat adjustments)

centre console colour changed from early 2012 models to the late 2012 and 2013 spec from a blue/silver to black gloss (don't quote me on the colours but you will see the big difference)

F-sport rims are mercury Grey(?) 18's, the X has alloy colour

F-sport has 14 speaker Mark levinson system Vs 13 speaker in X and i had both cars for 3 days and noticed the difference( nothing wrong with the 13 speaker one though. Audio setting adjustability is very limited for any audiophile on both)

F-sport has rear parking camera - X has this and it also has 6 parking sensors (2 front and 4 rear)

Suspension is firmer in F-sport but not jarring. i didn't feel a massive difference in ride but certainly in body roll.

both have heated seats (prestige does not)

i am sure there is more things that i have missed, but it should help a little i hope.

Hey, currently looking at a 350 f sport; where did you get this from. Feel free to PM me. Thanks
  6. Hi Everyone. I'm looking at getting an IS350 F Sport. Currently umm and ahhing about this, a Golf R, 370z or an Evo.

Currently drive a WRX (06, that's stock) and also have an R33 Skyline that's a road registered track car. I don't necessarily want something that's as sporty as the other two. To be honest I think the WRX is a tad boring because of the AWD. The Skyline is an AMAZING car to drive BUT it needs a track, it's useless on the road as a daily. I'm looking at getting rid of both of these; the Nissan will be difficult to let go but time to grow up

So anyway I'm looking at info on the 350 because I want a RWD car that's quick, has some dynamic properties but isn't always "on". Something that I can take on long distances and not be knackered after driving. Only qualm is that I ride a bit and don't think I can get the bike into the car without roof racks (what I currently use).

So that's it from me. Any comments on the above thoughts are welcome
