Hi. I have recently purchased a 2008 RX350 with 75k on the clock. Vehicle is fitted with a tow bar but dealer says it was very rarely used.
Vehicle recently began to produce an instrusive hum at about 60k and upwards. The dealer has advised that it requires a new crown wheel and pinion replacement, this is under warranty so no issues there. However, I am now a little concerned about what actually caused the damage in the first place. Service department say they do not get too many of these issues, Is it possible that excessive towing is the culprit?. Would appreciate any feedback re issues with diffs.
