  1. Well the best I've gotten out of a full tank was 485km and the fuel light was constantly on

thats driving 2000-3000rpm and mostly without air con :>

fark! - I get around the 500k mark (sometimes 510 sometimes 480) and thats with aircon on all the time and around town plus across town each day...

And i wouldnt of said i was easy on the car...

  2. Thanks for the replies...

I've got an Apexi filter, between 3000 - 4000 is probably where the main power occurs before change over, if your foot is fully down it doesn't sound as bad, but under limited acceleration mine also makes a nasty noise but then sounds better when duel Vvti kicks in.

Yeh thats pretty much the same as what i got happening...

Also I wouldn't expect it to act much differen after putting on the filter e.g the car shouldn't react in a negative way, I'm pretty sure I have never reset the computer, on most cars the computer will slowly change after driving it for a while, but if you are having probelms then it could be a good option.

I have reset the ECU, drove around for 30 odd minutes and now she is running sweet..

I would check the sensor again because if it isnt installed properly or at all, it will make the motor run crappy.... So do you have the air sensor conected to the filter?

    The black one? yup....

  3. I fitted an HKS RS Induction kit yesterday, will have the reset the computer (was planning to anyway) but the car is running like crap now... almost like it wont engage the VVTi, so hopefully a ECU reset will fix the problem...

The kit makes the induction noise really loud, and makes the 3000-4000rpm sound really bad (does everyone get a funny sound between 3000-4000rpm or is this just my one?)

Other thing is the outside temp displayed on the dash seems to be hotter than normal, im pretty sure its not 20 degress here at 8:30 in the morning.... Anyone know where this sensor it?

Anyway, thanks to Muzza for his help in providing the pictures of a completed Induction installation.

    David
