I had Aragosta on my RX-7.  Such nice shocks.  Double the stock spring rate, but a better more comfortable ride than stock.  They're actually made in the Netherlands by the same mob that makes Moton racing shocks, so they have a ton of pedigree and are beautifully made.

I'd love to have a set for the ISF but the ISF offerings start close to the top of the range at Type-S and they're $3800 before shipping.  Ppl like jessestreeter.com.au usually get trade price and so I wouldn't be surprised if he can sort it out so that the landed cost is $3800, but it is a more expensive option than Kw V3.

aragosta definitely looks amazing, it will be around 800-1000 more including labour than kw v3, besides the price difference, warranty issue also should be concerned.

you need to use to stock rear top hats

    other than that

    pretty easy

iv sold the set out of the ISF but still have the set on my IS250c

    still runing strong no noise

I have ordered one set, now there is big sale of kw worldwide. So what kit are you using on your isf now?

    intresting there

    mines been fine

    not even a signle noise

    harsher than stock

    but better performance

Hi Danny, how long have you had the kw for? i am about to order one,  little bit worried about quality, by the way is there anything to pay attention during installation?

  4. The Kw I had before rise nice, but gets annoying when it has noise, the noise comes after.it was installed straightaway.

My friend told me it should be mechanic faulty installation. Now I am just confused whether it's the quality issue or the mechanic's problem

Has anyone experience with MCA red series with their ISF?

Look forward to hearing from you

I am familiar with their product as in have red on the track car but want to hear from other ISF drivers before upgrade the suspension

just looked it from its website, not a cheap one $2900 for an australian made

Most no brand shocks are made in Taiwan or china they look so nice but are sh#t read a lot before buying  junk, a ISF DESERVES THE BEST.

definitely agrees with you, a good brand actually save your money than shxxt ones.

but in australia, i can only find kw v3 but i had a bad experience with it before(note. on a bmw 3 series ,clunk noise and oil leaking after one year)

They changed the pair in my case

thats good for you! i called lexus australia, the guy just told me that the left one is all good , and it will not pass the warranty process to change it.

it will cost $650 for that part and $350 to get it fitted by lexus dealer, btw it come only with one year warranty.

I think spending $1000 to change only one shock does not worth the investment.  I will change the whole set when warranty expires.

Wow talk about tight ass Lexus dealer should be changed in pairs pay them for the other shock and see if they get a shock.

haaa, they professionally suggested me to change only one:whistling:.

i am still thinking change an aftermarket coilover set in  near future, let the dealer do what they should do then, dont want to double spend money.

It should be covered under warranty.  I've had Lexus replace shocks at about 20k when they were faulty before, but in that case the shocks had a visible oil leak

I went to dealer this morning, they agreed to change the drive side shock.

does your car have only one shocker changed by dealer?

i was told by my friend that its best to change both left and right even if there is only one side gets broken, i asked the dealer to change both front side, but they will only change the bad one.

Check top and bottom shockie mounts and sway bar link, have you got warranty let us no what happens cheers.

Have the whole suspension checked by suspension specialist today, they put the car on machine to test the shockers.  the result is that the left front shock scores 62 while the right front  shock scores 23, so the right shocker has a failure inside the tube,by the way,  the bushing rubber etc are all good.  Noticed that the shocker are made by sachs in Spain.

car only runs 20000km, and the shocker is gone, shouldnt happen on a lexus. I will go to dealer with this report, if they dont change it , I will find aftermarket coilover set like bilstein or ohlins, anyone has other suggestions?

The car is still under warranty, the first time i went to dealer last month, they said noise issue has only one year warranty and got a mechanic test drive with me around the dealership, he said didnt hear anything.....

Booked for another inspection, hope they hear something. dealing with this kind issue is troublesome and painful.

Find a road where the suspension clunking noise can usually be heard.

Drive along it, with your foot touching the brakes a little.  Does the noise go away?

the noise is still there when touching brakes.  the noise comes only below 60km/h, when i drive faster, it is not there.

Noises can be so many things. Even rubber bushes that are sticking make knocking noises.

if you move steering wheel a small amount can you replicate the noise?

If so whilst its doing it get someone to hold their hand around

    1. Ball joint, 2, Sway bar bushes, 3. Rack mounts 4. Shock top and bottom (whilst gently bouncing car) etc.  any knock will be felt in the hand.

If its a bush spray with lanoline or similar.

If its a noise that needs a load try to replicate, try on a speed bump or driveway entry and work out what side.

Does it change if you gently apply brakes? Are wheel nuts tight? Is top suspension mounting tight.......Bounce with hood open and look and listen. etc etc

Might be your muffler bearings, have a look underneath ;)

I have my own mechanic checked every thing underneath, checked the things you mentioned, should not be them.  it comes to the right front suspension shocker.

The noise only comes when road gets short waves, i just dont understand why this noise could happen on a 20000km lexus:wacko:

  15. When I drive my car  on short wavy road, there comes clunky noise from driver's side front suspension, its like shock absorber gone wrong or something else happened.

    checked the suspension, no leaking.

only 20000km on car, 2014 model.

Has anyone had the same issue?

    Cheers

    Update:

have the dealer changed the fault shocker, noise is gone, that new shocker ride very well.

dealer should change both front ones for me, but it wont pass thru warranty procedure. now it can be slightly noticed that the old shocker is not as good as the new one when hit bumps. I will changed a kw v3 in few weeks since thats the only best solution in australia.

I think mine sits around 600 with no air con on.. Does it sound rough / rough idle at all? Any shaking through the car?

Lucky man / lady by the way, 2014 model :yahoo:

no shaking, have the car checked, problem cause by carbon built in throttle, everyhing is all good now.   im a man by the way

Was going to ask the same thing.  Any kind of idle surge, fluctuations in your revs vs dropping to 500 and remaining constant.  Possible vacuum leak?

On my old WRX, i had idle surge, ended up being a blown head gasket but im sure no such thing would happen to such a new ISF.

mine is just remaining in 500rpm

  18. i went to dealer for normal service yesterday, and have this issue checked.

mechanic cleaned the throttle , there were some carbon stuck there, now the idle revs comes to 600 rpm, everything is fine:wink3:

by the way, mechanic explained that maybe my car had been sit in my car park for too long to have the carbon built up.
