Reliability/repair Costs

hi guys!!

im very interested in the old ls400 and es300 model's! i have around 3 grand to spend and am considering buying one of these. i hear they are super reliable car's and to be honest i want the biggest bang for my buck, keen to show my friends what can be bought with a small ammount of money lol. im very particular and really look after my cars but i'm afraid i wont be able to afford to fix one if something goes wrong. my last car was a 90 seca sx with a 4age which was a great car and never missed a beat.

so! should i buy one and how expensive are parts?? any thoughts greatly appreciated. gary, sunny coast qld.
