Road Taxes

Only a fraction of ‘road taxes’ like road fund duty and fuel duty actually get spent on the roads. Most is added to the general taxation pot. Should this be stopped? If not what would you like to see it spent on?

I'd like to see the whole lot spent on:

1. Road safety & blackspot improvements;

2. Improving existing roads, and constructing new ones where warranted;

3. Improving / expanding public transport services.
