Factory Amp Location In Boot?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys im new to the forum. I just piked up a is300 y'day. I was going through trying to find the fsctory amp and came across a smp lookin thing in the boot under the carpet and the plastic thing. I diconnected one of the plugs from the thing and the driver side speaker stopped playing music. But when i unplugged the other plug it had no effect. But i was thinking that may have something to do with the navigation? Also is it possible to add a aftermarket double din to work in parallel with the navigation?

Your input would be great guys!

Cheers.

Hi the Factory amp is located to the left of the heater box when you remove the glovebox. You can recognize it from the cooling fins. It is fiddly to remove.

I think (but am not sure) the unit in the boot is the navigation computer.
