I have been quoted $700 each x 2 for a set of rear shockers for my 2006 IS 250 sports sedan. I find it hard to justify $1,700 (fitted) and have tried to source non genuine but I have found it impossible to find any? Has anyone got any ideas / suggestions ?

By spending $1700 you could get a nice set of BC V2 which is only $1200 ship to your door.

Another option is f sport shock and spring set that you can order on eBay

Yikes! that's a lot. Either what Steve said ^^, or get more quotes from others.

For that amount of money, I would personally get coilovers!

Thanks Tegra & 123045. I still cannot comprehend that the genuine Kexus shocks costs $700. each.I have only used genuine Lexus parts & service in the past - got to say this is causing me some heartache.

Since ur car is sport like my one. I think we have the same suspension set up. To me which is not so comfortable constantly bouncing on rough roads. So my solution to this I would replace the rear nd front shock with genuine Lexus f sport(after market) which u could get for less than $800 for both front and rear.

Or u could buy 2nd hand which Danny( ilv1004s) have. I think both ways could save u big buck
