What's the best way to remove old, bubbling film from a car's rear window?

Posted

I did this many years go on my VK Brock commodore. One of my old friend was a window tinter and obviously you peel the tint off and this leves a residual adhesive. To get this off he suggested a thinner, prepsol or something similar with a stainless steel scouring pad an rags Stainless steel! I believe this oesnt scratch but if you are going to give it a go, small section first where you might not see.

The hard part was the rear demister.

As I say I did this a long time ago so my idea might not be the best but at the time I recall it worked.
