Replacing Wiper Blades

Planning to replace the wiper blade rubber refills myself - anyone got any hints and tips to avoid making basic mistakes?

Thanks to all those who responded.

Ended up buying the refills from Lexus of Brighton for $32 and they fitted them for free!!!

They've not disappointed me so far in 4 years :)

In case anyone is interested, the part numbers are: 199 WRC 2/E 550 & 200 WRC 2/E 500

Strange part numbers they use, JDM numbers are RH = 85214-53080 & LH = 85214-53090

My apologies, Carl - you're right - the numbers you quoted above are on the Invoice - I got those numbers from the rubber blades!!

$32 from dealer incl installation is actually a reasonable price, i bought trade spec wiper refill for Lexus, cost me around $20....need to cut and install myself............
