Navigation using Google Maps

I have purchased a 2018 Lexus (RX350) and was hoping the navigation system would be up to date. I recently went on a country trip along and near Princes Highway. The Lexus system had me going the long way even when I selected the quick route. The trip times do not relate to the actual trip eg a trip of 333km is estimated to take 5hr 40 minutes (58km/hr av.), google maps estimated 4hr 18 m (77km/hr) and actual time was under 4 hrs (85km/hr). Can google maps be connected via phone and Aux.? Is there an update to navigation system to bring it up todate?
