Just picked up a new Lexus UX, and were told at handover that there will be no second key because of microchip shortages and that maybe there might be one avaialble during the next year but no promises......

I was astounded. Buy a new luxury car and be given one key only! And not told of this until we pick the car up?

Interested to hear of any other customers who feel angry about this.

Co-incidentally just fired off a p###ed off email to Lexus of Sutherland - four months and still waiting.  What really irked me was a friend bought a Kia Sorrento last weekend, picked it up yesterday and naturally got two keys.  Seems like only Lexus is affected by the "microchip shortages"!

I've been waiting for 2nd fob since March and just been told Lexus Australia has rejected the request. Seriously.

The supply chain issue may be real, but the customer service is non-existent.

Very disappointed I have to keep chasing them up. About my 10th Lexus but first time with new dealership. Think I should have stuck with previous.

I'll give them 24 hours to get back to me on why the request was rejected, then I'm naming and shaming the dealership.
