Dealership service or not

Recommended Posts

Hey I've recently bought a 2021 lexus is300 fsport,  it has 35,000kms on it,

Looks like the previous owner had it serviced at lexus dealership, I'm considering just doing the basics myself like filters/oil change/spark plugs, and anything else I'll take to my mechanic,

My wife's nissan is serviced at the dealership, she is happy with that but I just can't bring myself to spend big on a dealership service when all they have done on the nissan every service is just the basics by looking at the receipts,

Question is do I take my lexus to a dealership service?  do they do anything special or different at a dealership?? Other than the usual basics?

Hi mate I have the same issue. Dealer has quoted me $960 for oil, oil filter, aircon filter, air filter and brake fluid change…. My mechanic has quoted $350 and Toyota dealership $650…
