PLEASE HELP!! WEIRD NOISE FROM GEAR SHIFTER?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. Im new on this forum from japan. I just bought a lexus is250 2010 model and there is this weird grinding noise coming from underneath the gear shifter. There is no weird sound on idle. The sound only starts when I put the car on Drive and start driving. The sound gets louder with  speed, the more I give it gas, the more it becomes louder. It is coming from directly under the gear shifter. It sounds like something is grinding, like two metals. First I thought it was from engine but then I put my ear closer to gear shifter and thats where it came from. I thought its transmission at first but my car is only 39k miles, what could possible go wrong?

I took the recording of it, maybe its hard to hear but thats all I can record. You would hear a constant grinding noise under acceleration until the end of the video.

I also feel the loss of power in a way that the car feels sluggish and suffocated, like it needs to breath, the gas mileage is 8.5km/l whereas on my previous is250 I was getting 10.1 km/l. And I just changed engine oil after I bought the car and nothing else yet.

Anybody help me identify this sound cause it is driving me crazy. I would appreciate every single response. Thank you in advance!

Car: IS250 (Japan)

Year: 2010

Mileage: 64k Kms (39k miles)
