samuelh7
Yeah called Toyota told me to go get a wheel balance at a tyre shop ... But its strange because the steering wheel wasnt shaking before the alignment ... and after alignment done it starts shaking ...
Aristo_kat
if the steering wheel shakes its normally balancing,if it pulls to one side then it`s normally alignment.
Gavin_S
It can also be caused by irregular tyre wear-if you drove for quite some time with the car out of alignment/balance,it can cause the tyre to wear unevenly-so when you do get it aligned/balanced the tyre sits on the road uneven, causing shudder through the steering wheel.... greeneyes
Are you going to take it into the agents for an alignment Matt? Maybe they do the alignment and fit new tyres under the guarentee.... (who me? Lowered it... never!) You should print out lots of the pages from the UK club talking about that problem, and say you went outside to look at your own tyres after reading about it, and behold.... Yeah Sam, I was wondering if a balance would solve the problem. Usually a wheel only goes out of balance quickly when it loses a wheel weight. Everyone else checked their tyres???
