How To Remove Auto Gear Knob/stick?

Hi guys:

Just wondering has anyone changed thier auto gear stick/knob to aftermarket knob?

I couldnt figure out how to remove the factory auto gear knob/stick. they can not be unscrewed? unless I didnt turn hard enough??

Or do I need some tool ?

my 6mt is so easy to remove the knob.

I hope all the members in NZ didnt get affected by the flood a few weeks ago.

I am just wondering whether the whole stick will come off when turned anticlockwise, OR just the knob.??

My friend want to remove the factory leather knob to change to metal knob for winter, change back to leather for summer.....

You must unscrew it counter clock wise. It shouldn't be too hard.
