hi. i have recently stumbled upon the toyota aristo. what a beautiful car they seem to be. i understand they also come in a v8 variation. do these cars have any inherent faults? or are they truly as good as they look? : )

They have a few faults i know of,central locking,wind noise from windows and led on speedo needles.other than that they are a very nice car.

Which version are you looking at?

JZS147 (till mid '97)

JZS161 (late '97 - current)

I have a JZS161. The cars are pretty good. Very much troublefree. You need to check if the cam belt has been changed according to service schedule and check the lower balljoints, these need to be replaced after 3-4 years.
