Headlight Problem?

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone has had any problems with headlights on the Altezza's? I have recently replaced my bulbs in both headlights but they seem to get condensation in them when it is really cold! Have checked the bulb seals, etc and everything looks to be normal but I am wondering if anyone else knows of anything wrong with the headlights.

What do you suggest I do? Do I take it to an auto-electric specialist or a mechanic? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers!

I think most people have had problems with headlights leaking to one degree or another. One of mine, for example, has a whole lot of silicon sealant gunk around it to improve the seal...

I believe some people have taken the headlights out and drilled a hole underneath to drain water out, and just gunked it up in general. I would hazard that an auto-electric specialist will just tell you you need a new light, and a mechanic will either say that or gunk it up :D

yep - common fault across all IS200, IS300 and Tezza's - even in the US, Europe and Japan...

Hmmm... Drive with the headlights on more to dry them out..??

my car is parked outside so the sun drys them..

Thanks for your comments. I ended up getting both sealed and so far, so good. Do you know if you can get projector or dark headlights for the IS200? Cheers.
