Has anyone been able to remove the main engine cover? I know that they are clipped in but I can't determine what kind of clip it is or whether it's held down with some type of fastener?

Any tricks or tips to get this off??

The centre big piece, has a joint that holds it down. You just need to pull the cover out carefully with abit of force and haste. Usually it comes out on your 2nd or 3rd try. If it's touch first couple of goes, just take you time and pull.

HAHA yeah it does seem a bit worrying the first time you try and take it off. just have to pull firm like ldc said.

Is there mods going in Jom!!??

Closer inspection with a flood light it wasn't necessary to remove the whole cover to access the trottle body. I always worry when something is stubbon to come out whether it's clipped or screwed on.

I've damaged some trim in some other cars where I though they were clips but instead were screws

Chris, the answer to your question is an F Sport Intake - Waiting for it to arrive ;)
