  1. What did you end up doing, as I have an 07 LS460 and need to do something about my ageing air shocks. From my perspective, there are only two options - Replace air struts with OEM replacements - Replace air struts with coilovers, but I have no idea what brands are decent 1. BC Racing https://bcracing.com.au/lexus-ls460-usf40-coilovers 2. Silvers Neomax https://shop.revzone.com.au/silvers-neomax-s-lexus-ls460-ucf40 3. 2. After reading through many forums, the advice seems to be take the car to Lexus or a specialist that's Lexus trained, if you have an air ride issue. Now in Victoria, I'm yet to find anyone that claims to be a Lexus specialists. I guess this is one of the downsides of owning an LS, as there are more BMW/Mercedes specialists than I can poke a stick at. Anyway, I've confirmed that the ride hight needs to be set after replacing OE air struts "One of the more difficult tasks on the LS460’s air suspension is adjusting the ride height after installing parts. Trying to adjust the linkages will not work. The only way to adjust the height is by using a scan tool and inputting the ride height measurements."
  3. Thanks Biscuit, that's awesome. Do you know if there's any software configuration required, or is it just a hardware replacement?
  4. Forget this option, it's only passive, not active like the original equipment.
  5. Found an option here, anyone used the Arnott air struts? https://www.arnottindustries.com/products/lexus-air-suspension/ls-toyota-celsior/ls-460-usf40-short-wheelbase-rear-wheel-drive/2007
  6. Did you end up finding a mechanic, as I'm Melbourne based would be keen to find one for my LS460.
  7. I've only owned my LS for a year, but always thought there was too much rebound in the ride when set to comfort or normal, hence use sport most of the time, but the ride isn't as compliant as I would have imagined for a large luxo barge. Guess I've got nothing to compare with, so hard to know what should be normal and if leaks are impacting ride?
  8. Just took my 07 LS460 for a service at Lexus and they told me three out of four air shockers are leaking (one was replaced when I purchased). Reviewing the Lexus parts and labour pricing I almost fell off my chair, $3.3K for one front right and $5.5K for both rears. Are there any other options, apart from the Lexus pricing, as I would prefer to keep the air ride? Thanks
  9. I recently purchased a 2007 LS460 with 146K from Lexus of Perth, The car has been fantastic since purchasing, but I have noticed the dash gets very sticky in the hot weather, so much so it's difficult to remove a parking ticket when parked in the warm sun. The dash looks to be ok, e.g. there are no scratches of evidence of melting, but it just feels terrible when weather gets warmer. I recently spoke to my local Lexus dealer about it, they effectively brushed me off, explaining that previous owner must have used chemicals on the dash and given the dash was made of leather it now is reacting differently. Upon returning home I noted Toyota had a recall around this time, that also impacted the LS460. http://australiancar.reviews/_pdfs/Toyota_WarrantyEnhancementProgram_ZE6.pdf My question is, even though my dash looks ok now, I'm worried that it will continue to deteriorate and that Lexus won't be inclined to accept it needs to be replaced. (even if costs were split 50/50). I'm keen to here feedback from other LS owners.
