I couldnt believe the factory 6x9's are 15 watts, they sound alright off my Alpine head unit. Anyways im going to replace them with 700Watt Boshmans 6x9' 3 ways. Henry

For all you Toyota owners with Sat Nav screens and GPS DVD units, heard from people that a DVD is comming out late next month fully operational with the stock systems. If this is true, i wonder if the system will be operational without the Stock Radio tuner etc since when i took it out for my aftermarket unit, the Screen stopped displaying the map. Would also be nice if Toyota brought out TV tuners for the screen.. Henry

Hi Benjamin, I found this spec sheet of all the different types of alarms Alarm Models and Specs Dont know if it will help. Not sure about how insurance company premiums associate with different types of alarms, do they do it by brand or specs? Henry

Yea, sweet- I'll chuck my Lanzar 12inch Sub from the Honda into the Tezza once i do get the headunit - probably need to rewire/by pass the factory Amp... Hey, has anyone been to that Parallel Import stereo and alarm place in Albany? My mate brought a Sony CD head unit 52w x 4 for something like $200 cheaper than local retail... they fit them in too apparently. Dont know how they compare to closer stores e.g Rapid Audio... For now Im gonna save up $$ for the headunit etc, like Keith said about the Err3, that means if I can "Pry" out the 6th disk I can fix the problem temporarely? If theres a way to fix it then It'll be all good for now. Thanks for your comments, :D Henry

This is my new car... I noticed that the in dash TV picked up Channel 4's sound signal and a weak picture signal when i switched the TV mode into channel 11. Well the 6 CD changer is broken too so that needs to be replaced - I found out that Toyota Altezza front fog lamps cost over $900 NZD Each.... thats nearly 2 grands for both. What sort of alarms do you guys and girls use? e.g Mongoose.. Looking foward to my road trip to Taupo in the Altezza... Henry

The engine is in good condition and the car drives sweet...photos soon. The only things missing are the missing backseat headrests and the front fog lights. Was just wondering if all Altezzas came with the fog lights or just as an option? Will go looking for them next week.

Decided today.. - on Monday, I will be the proud owner of a 1999 Rs200Z.. got a nice deal for it too but had minor factory 17" curb damage and missing back seat head rest, cigg lighter and front lights (the small ones at the bottom). Dont mind about the alloys but does anyone know where to get parts for an Altezza headrest etc? Thanks for all your inputs by the way. Also gotta figure out how to get the GPS unit to work (if its possible).... Henry :D

Hi Everyone, Recently I've been looking for a new ride, and it has come down to either a Rs200 or a similar priced 3 series... really keen on the Altezza - however cant overlook the BMW's reputation... Just thought you guys might be able to help me out on this desicion .. e.g if you've had compared Altezzas to BMW's before, etc what are your thoughts... Thanks.
