Interesting reading about these hacks. But does it void the warranty?

Palm owners know that it is difficult to Bluetooth pair the Treo with a Lexus. There is one post here which says that updating the firmware to ver 1.20 will help it work but I have not seen any other positive comments. Are there others here who have got this to work? I found that by changing the PASSKEY in the car to 0000 I could get a Bluetooth connection with my Treo 650 but it would then drop out. Will the updated firmware make it a reliable autoconnection? Thanks in advance.
