yeh u definately cant play an mp3 dvd, dunno why though?! makes so much sense to do it.

ive burn a couple dvd's for the car with music video clips, just slapped it together with nero and clicked burn on the fastest possible, works everytime :)

get a prestige and chuck on a set of rims. the lexus optional rims are so expensive.

they aren't slow but also not what you would consider fast. fun to drive though

spotted 3 is250s in a space of 5minutes.

1st one was black and had big chrome rims and a nsw plate.

2nd one was a black is250x a couple cars behind it

both were at the new Westfield in Doncaster

3rd one has also black and had what looked like 18 inch rims.

the old man has a 1968 firebird convertible. which he completely stripped.

He is swapping for my daily which is a '06 VZ ex cop.

Swapping it with no box, motor, panels, interior, roof etc.

He was planning on doing a big build but changed his mind and is going to go for sumthing new.

Im trying to convince him into the IS-F but he still doesn't think its as raw as the other v8's mentioned.

I think im going to have to show him a few youtube vids and organise a test drive to change his mind!!

My one is from taiwan, came factory painted. It is often in the sun for hours at a time and its been on since about Feb, still looks the same as the day i bought it. Ill take a pic soon :D

My old man wanted to get the is250 traded in for the ISF but its just too expensive.

He wants the 09 Camaro if it gets released here, if not a 6ltr HSV. :D

edit. oh and ps. For those of you wanting that drifting action in the IS250. Its quite possible! Straight after the 1st service with traction and stability off the is250 wheelspins like crazy. I can also tell you that both wheels spin on the spot hahaha, and thats with 275 tyres!

I was told by a wheel repairer if your rims are alloy with chrome coating its bad luck. However if ur rims are painted or just alloy it can be fixed easily.

I dont have any sensors, just the reverse camera. I remember being in my mates commodore when it was pouring down and he couldn't see crap, but the sensors were fine. You should just give Lexus a quick call im sure they will give you some sort of assistance.

As it is on the edge of the lip its not noticable unless u look closely!

I dont think im gonna bother fixing them for a while though.

I did the first burnout in the IS and i feel a little bad, but it was definitely fun.

Hopefully no one flames me for doing one. Some people are very against it in nice cars.

I just found out that King Springs will make a custom set of springs for $50

(i.e. choose your own spring rate and drop)

This is what im probably going to go for as i am after a 2" or more drop from standard :D

So $50 + the usual price?

How do u know what spring rate you want, knowing Kings they set their normal rate to be low (for hard/firm ride).

i'm keen on a 1" front and 1.5" rear on firm setting (for 18").

im not sure exactly how it all works but im finding out through a mate as he got custom springs for his subaru.

My bad. Not much room to lower if that's stock height.

Theres plenty of room to lower!

I know a few people with 19's and 20's on smaller cars and you cant see the top of the tire.

They still get away without rubbing all over the place.

I also have a few mates that got superlow king springs for a few cars.

Late model commodores, 328i beema and xr6t to name a few.. and they weren't impressed by the difference.

As ultra low's or super super's aren't available ready to go for the is250's custom springs are the only option when going beyond 1.5"

With that said, you can still get customs with only a 1" drop but a softer spring if you wanted.

2007 Model with about 18,000km on it.

It seemed to improve after the 15,000km service but it is still noticeable now and then.

I will probably take the car to them when time permits and see what they can do :)

Yeah, as far as i know from previous experience it is. I had this idea that the catalyst inside it is burning up some how. Lexus said its normal, but why doesn't everyone get this problem then?

The exhaust smells like eggs / sulfur when its being driven, occasionally i get a whiff of it when the windows open.

If the car is revved harder it smells worse!

I notice it all the time when i park and jump out of the car.

Lexus said to change to a different brand fuel but i haven't really noticed a difference!
