Hi Everyone, I bought a IS200 Caliente and was keen to see how good the "premium sound system" was. Much to my disappointment it was average. I guess back in the days (2002) it may have been considered good, however in todays terms, the base is a little weak. In my opinion for sound quality, the treble is reasonably good, the mid range is average and the lower range is average. You really need to crank the system up to get good audio quality with more mid-low base response. What is everyone elses thoughts.

I drive IS200 caliente (2002) manual, so I would expect slightly better fuel consumption than an auto. I usually drive to max 500km (mostly suburb driving, so not much cruising on high ways/freeways). The indicator will drop to the bottom bar however I haven't actually got the fuel warning light to appear. I haven't dared driving till it came on because the indicator goes below the bottom bar! When I fill up it's around 55-56Litres. Whats it show for others when the fuel light comes on.

I'm doing the same. I got my current key reprogrammed for $20 from lexus as the remote didnt work, but a spare costs $500 each, as i belive theyre all digitally coded too. Good luck I'm looking for spare key too and lexus also told me $500!!!. Looked online however mostly they are advertising for IS300 and they all all from US. I'm a little skeptical that this will work. Has anyone ever done this? If so who with and for how much?

I too just bought a IS200 however they only gave me key. I hope it is the master key. I too want to purchase another, however the dealership said it'll cost around $500. I was like "are you *BLEEP*ting me". Had a look on ebay and some other forums, I know you can buy a new key with transponder and somehow program it (using your own master key). If all else fails then you can take it the dealership where they could program it for you (hopefully for a small price) Does anyone know any supplier who sells local to australia? and had any experience with this?

Well, Boys and Girls, Just had an accident in the wet!! Over steered turning right at a round about, over corrected (or wasn't fast enough to turn back in the other direction) and then bamn into a power pole right in the middle of the front. ~~~~~~~~~~~~^_^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Will need new everything, which means that I'll get a new badge!!! thats one EXPENSIVE way to get a new badge ~~~~~~~~~~^_^~~~~~~~~~~~

:-( If its just the emblem then it doesn't help. Can find the emblems on Ebay for cheap but can't find one with the housing unless its an entire grille :-( I'll have to wait for someone who mods their car and is willing to sell it.

Yeah, I sourced this black aletezza badge from ebay and it didn't fit my grill.. arghghhg.. Looks like I'll have to live with it

I have a complete grill if you want for $100 mine is a my02 type grill Thanks, but I'm sure there must be somewhere that I can just get the front grill badge? I bought an Altezza emblem from Japan, as I thought it would be compatible, however it looks like its a different fit to this standard honeycomb grill.. argh Was thinking of sanding pack the housing filling it in and then putting it on the grill (perfect fit and shape to the grill slot). However before I do that, I want to make sure I can't source a normal badge first.

Hi, My lexus IS200 (2002) just got badged :-( Service guys said I'll have to replace the entire front grill to get a new emblem as they aren't sold seperately? Does anyone have any spare parts or know where I can get a replacement? Thanks in advance.
