  1. Please define used? Do they have silencer problems?
  2. Did you get the throttle body clean at lexus? if so how much?? All it is is basically oven cleaner sprayed into throtle body left for ten mins and then start the car with full throttle and thats it? I had the same problem chris explained. Fuel may pay a role in this but as i only use 98+ I did the throttle body clean and happy days!!
  3. Looks nice mate!! Were you considering a drop at all? would top it off with an inch all round!!
  4. This will be sorted this week Dave..... Welcome.....
  5. Hi Digger, Welcome to the club, For a Hybrid i would go with a super quite tire. the quietest ive experienced it bridgestone Turanza. Although im not sure if they make them for "suv". Good Luck!!
  6. Nice work. Good to hear it went well and no dramas.
  7. Justin LDC?? new account?? Narellan ultratune has moved and changed hands. but i still go to the old mechanics. Golden Automotive Services. (GAS) Narellan. Ask for Eric. He loves Lexus.
  8. how many km service is it. Ask him lots of questions. An owner run (owner works on cars). It will generally be a better place to take your car.
  9. Ultra tune have all the tools and machines to do the work but not necessarily the passion or workmanship. I used them only because of the mechanics passion and honesty about parts and practices.
  10. Ilv1004s was a little more aggressive then mine and also lowered. Its also a good idea to go and see different offsets if you can.
  11. Im riding flush 19's. Only scrub is when riding low. (dumped on coils) A standard drop doesnt scrub. Work schwert sc1 19X9 +28mm offset R disk to clear is350 brakes AND 19X9.5 +35mm offset O disk. http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10278&st=15
  12. Oops i meant behind the caliper if your gonna take them off to do pads. U will see.
  13. Lexus finance are generally a little cheaper then the major banks.
  14. Well there you go. Still.. Thats why prices are different.
  15. Guys and Girls! Come down have some fun and share what is Perfection . . . . . LEXUS!! Please be sensible and have thought for others and THIER safety on the road leaving stupid behaviour to when there is no one to hurt or annoy!! ALOC does not support and will not be held responsible for others peoples actions or consequences of thier actions. Please Drive safe and enjoy the scenic spirited drive in which this cruise is intended!! CRUISE DETAILS BELOW................. Not set in concrete. with catch up points along the way. goooooooooogle map
  16. It does take a bit off muscle and effort to undo the rotors behind the rotor. ilv1004s and i have done this before including an IS350 brake upgrades and it is pretty self explanitory once you stick your head in there!! As Ashpoint said. You do have to be carefull yes but, generally if your brake fluid reseviour isnt full before you start you shouldnt have much to worry about. Have fun!!
  17. For Windscreen wiper fluid you can use just tap water. But be warned although minimal and minute, using standard soap or car wash fluid added to the water it is not good for the rubber seals around the windscreen. If you want it soapy it is advisable to use car windscreen washer soap. (bought at any automotive store) I think your thinking of the battery when it comes to distilled water.
  18. To aid in answering your questions David. The main reason for difference in pricing (IF IT WAS SAME SERVICE, SAME FLUIDS, SAME RIP OFF'S, SAME CHECKS AND SAME REPLACEMENTS OF PARTS) Is mainly due to Lexus service Centres although owned by Lexus Australia, are independently run. so there is not a set price for guide for servicing. For example. Smiths Chips are owned by Smiths, but supermarkets can sell them at what ever price they want. Lexus of chatswood is owned by Lexus, but service centres can sell thier service at what ever price they want.
  19. Ecu reset is as ilv1004s said. ( or positive terminal safer) There are four fuse boxes. Engine bay has two. One non serviceable (by driver / owner) and one accessible. One in passenger foot well and one in drivers footwell. See your manual for these details and the details of the fuse ur looking for.
  20. Lol. I havent had a chance to get the camera out. I was so excited i even forgot to do before shots to go with the after. Shots.
  21. definately worth it. got the relay wiring harness.. If your doing angel eyes let me know i will give you the clear lenses to do at the same time..
  22. Well. . . the old saying. "you pay for what you get" couldnt be any more true in this instance.. I installed my new HID'd last night and in comparison to an "Ebay" kit or a cheap kit they are awesome. the amount of light on the ground compared to the cheaper kits is unbelievable. And with the extra light it actually enhances the cut off line!! So now that ive had experience with both cheap and good kits. I can safely say i will never go back!!
  23. Turns out you have to open up the headlights in the oven to change the "slip in" lenses. Im not prepared to do this anytime soon so if anyone is opening up thier headlights i have a set of clear lenses for sale lol. gives an awesome crisp cut off line.
  24. Why you selling and what sort of price you looking for?
  25. Hey Cheney, Feel free to come along the more the merrier!!
