  1. Hi.

I've decided to sell my invidia midpipes for Lexus is250/350s.

Still brand new in packaging, never used.

Decided to sell it due to the fact that it would be too loud for my liking if installed with my exhaust.

    Price is $350 ono.

Won't last long at this price.

    Located at Fairfield West NSW.

  2. Try getting your insurance to cover for a OEM Lexus windscreen and if possible, get it installed at a Lexus service centre. If that isn't possible then O'brien is good with installing windscreens. But make sure that they aren't using their own brand (xyg or something), the brand that O'brien supplies aren't of great quality. I have used O'brien in the past to install an OEM windscreen and their installation is top notch.

  3. I'm selling a set of 18" Lexus IS250 sports wheels with tyres. Rare set.

    Minor curbs and scratches.

    Fronts are 18" x 8" with 245/40/18 Bridgestone S001 (60% tread)

    Rears are 18" x 8.5" with 255/40/18 Pirelli P-Zeros (20% tread)

    Excellent tyre combination.

Only selling due to limited space. Need them gone as soon as possible. Willing to let it go for $700ono

Here are the links to the actual wheels I'm selling with pictures.

  4. Just a tip - beware about purchasing tyres from non - major tyre outlets in Sydney. I was in the market for new tyres and called around getting quotes for Pirelli P Zeros in 255/40/18s, Jax stores quoted me between $470-500 each. A smaller tyre store quoted me $230 each fitted and balanced for the same tyres. It seemed to good to be true, so I did more research. I ended up finding that, that particular store may have parallel imported their tyres from developing countries where the tyres are not suited to the conditions here in Australia.

  5. I've also had is250s in the past and recently picked up an IS350 F sport 3 weeks ago. I, too, can tell that the newer ML system isn't as great as the older ML systems in the 1st series IS. I actually picked up the lower quality of the system while on the test drive. It's pretty noticeable. It may be due to the fact that the new ML systems are made in china and not in Japan as the original systems were. Lexus may have decided to change parts in the ML.

I found that the fuel consumption is sitting between 13-15L. With city driving, it sits around 15L. With a mix of 25% highway, 75% city driving. It sits around 13L. My previous IS250s, they both sit at 12.8L with city driving.

  6. There was a dealer in NSW that recently sold a 2011 Lexus IS350 Prestige with 2x,xxx kms for around $57,000. It was a Lexus Australia owned vehicle and never had any private owners. The salesmen specifically noted that he could of sold it closer to the $50,000 mark but there was just too much interest. Sold 4 days after being listed.

Given what you have been offered for the 'new' and the one aforementioned, I would consider 60k pretty good value for a new IS350.

  7. I would be wary of the person selling the two IS250s, if you look closely, those number plates are not the original ones that came with the car and are consecutive plates which could mean that they have some sort of history behind it. The mileage on those cars seem to be suspiciously low and too good to be true. If you are keen on purchasing, you should run a history check on the VIN not only in VIC, but other states as those cars could initially be from another state and have a history there.

What were his reasons to sell?

  8. For a 2006 prestige without the EMV option at $29,990, in my opinion is overpriced. You'll find that 76,000km is not high but average for that year. If you keep searching, you could pick up an 07' with EMV at that price with the same km's as the one you've shown.

This car seems worthy of checking out: http://www.carsales....3%201216&Page=2. Sports luxury will hold its value better than the prestige.

If you're interested in a MY09 model, I can also vouch for Atlantis' car.

  9. Hi guys,

Selling my IS250 so didn't get a chance to put these on.

They are 18" 05-08 Sports wheels. Not sports luxury.

    - 2 x 18" by 8" front wheels fitted with Nankang NS-II which have about 75% tread left.

    - 2 x 18" by 8.5" rear wheels fitted with Dunlop Sport Maxx which are nearly out of tread. Probably last another few thousand K's before needing to be replaced.

The two front rims have gutter rashes and the clear coat of the paint is peeling. Would suit being resprayed. Have been quoted at $50 per wheel for this.

Will upload pics once I get the chance. Here's the link to give you an idea of what the wheels look like: http://is.sewellparts.com/accessories-catalog/Exterior/IS250-2008/2141.html

    Looking for $1,000.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
