  1. What's your budget? You will find that price can vary between dealers, also depending what promotion they are doing for that month (Free rego, factory bonus etc). When I was looking 2 months ago, I got quoted around 59k-61k onroad including both the options that you are considering, cheaper if you don't mind the 2010 plated model. The factory SatNav is very expensive to get down the track, sure you can install it later but I don't think most people would due to cost. You do have other after market options like Fly audio, but just keep this in mind when deciding.
  2. Yes, basically there are pre 08 version and 08-11 version. I have the 08-11 version but obviously the US IS350 uses the straight bar. Either they don't have a full size spare wheel at the back or their rear is longer?? Look like I need to cope with the bar because even if they are willing to take it back, the shipping will make it not worth while. Does anyone here installed rear sway on their AUS IS250 and have a pics of it?
  3. I got my sway set over 3 weeks ago from the state, finally find time tonight to put it up the hoist and have it install. Unfortunately the rear didn't fit... Front one is on and fitted well Rear one is not so good... Basically the bars are different, the one on the IS350 has a bent on it to cater for the spare wheel housing, the one shipped in the kit doesn't. Not sure if Lexus sent me the wrong part or our IS350 is different to their, guess I will find out from them shortly <_< Either way it is going to be a pain to sent the bar back regardless what the outcome is :( If you are getting your rear bar from the US, make sure they don't look like mine and has a bent on it before getting them sent over. Hope this will help someone
  4. Yes, I only use bluetooth for phone functionality. I done a few google search and I don't see how 3GS and iPod touch wouldn't work with your USB input, because quite a few people in the US confirmed it work. When you plug the cable into the car's USB, does your phone/iPod get power from it? If it doesn't, may be you either have a incompatible cable or your USB connector in the car is faulty.
  5. Are you trying to use the 3Gs as iPod via the cable or as a phone via pairing with bluetooth? I am using the 4 with bluetooth, no issues at all. Also using 2nd gen iPod nano and the same iPhone 4 to listen to music via USB, also no problem. That's on the ML system.
  6. nah, not so much "worrying" about free stuffs Agent86, it is more about the quality of post-sales support the dealer willing to give after they already bag your money ;) . And that's the very reason I go with Lexus and not Audi, BMW or VW. But I suppose that mostly depending on the dealer, not really the manufacturer itself. And they were given to me, I didn't ask for them. You will find that most quality dealer do that, I get that with Subaru as well. I don't want to turn this thread into "what free stuffs I manage to get with my new car", as I agree it is not important, you are buying a car not accessories, but to explain what I mean, I will provide few of the things that I receive as an example, not a full list, just examples. They are not valuable but it is a nice touch. 1. Genuine Lexus boot rubber mat 2. Genuine iPod cable after they realise I use an iPhone (even setup for me) 3. eTag bracket (so I dont have to go to RTA or try to rip it off my old car) 4. plus others
  7. Nice...did you get any free stuffs from the dealer? You probably know anyway, don't push it too hard for the first 1000km, and try not to maintain in a same speed for extended period of time, like hitting the freeway to Canberra. I personally find the brake is a bit soft, lack the "bite" if you know what I mean. May be it need to bed in a bit more.
  8. I think enuff Internet mechanic advices. Pande, you should take it to a dealer and have it check. Fuses, motor or fluids, whatever it is, share with us when it is fix. Cheers.
  9. You will NOT lose all steering when fuse is blown, just all power assisted functionality will be gone. Not implying this is your issue, but worth a check. Your owner manual have all the location of the fuse boxes listed, I am not sure if your year/model is similar to mine, mine are near the battery under the bonnet and according to the manual, another 2 smaller box on each side of the dash, near the driver and passenger door. If you can't figure this out or don't have the manual, you should take it to Lexus or your mechanic to check this out, rather than fiddle this yourself.
  10. Nice color choice, you won't regret, look nice even when dirty and very easy to maintain.
  11. Cool, that's sound lot better than some of the mugen/GruppeM airbox I had on other cars, will give it a go. Cheers.
  12. Hi guys, New to the board, just ordered my IS350 F Sport and started looking at some mods I am interested in the F Sport intake as the car seem too quiet during spirited driving, but I don't want too much cabin noise when I am cruising with family and driving on freeway. For those who have one, how noisy is it inside the cabin when driving in the city and freeway in high gears? Panman, I am interested in the Ashtray delete since I don't smoke, and any extra storage is always welcome. I can't seem to find much info on it, do you happen to have a picture? Where did you buy it? Thanks in advance. Cheers.
