Anyone know if an Is250 in australia has been supercharged yet?
I'm interested in getting the Arma supercharger
http://www.armaspeed.com/eng/goods.php?act=cat&no=29
My 250 cost under 30k so a supercharger is cheaper than is350
My friend says blowoff valves, particularly 120db of the arma are illegal in QLD
Anyway around this legally or mechnically?

Im interested in this now.
Are the options only Arma or RGM?
So is Arma the better one? more power etc.
where can i get this done

Thought it better to bring this topic back than start a new one
Has anyone installed halos to their headlights in aussie
A lot of people overseas have, hoping to find someone whos done it or just get an auto shop to do it.
Ebay halos seem to look nice enough i saw a guy post pics on a forum

Hi denis
Spoiler cost me about $190 shipped, unpainted, primed
When it gets here i will drive around show it to some shops and get quotes
Il go with whoever is mix of reasonable price / capable
Based on other forums estimate cost to be $400 mold/paint
grab one off ebay
We can be the first in aussie

@philliphs was that for is250? or is200
My 2007 is250 has 111,000km on the clock perhaps it'd be worth a go.
On a slightly different note.
Does anyone know how to get rid of the cambelt noise or whatever it is?

proper carbon buildup clean will be more than $40
The ones i've seen done on Audis are intense.
The entire engine is opened up

Selling a car during a recession 101
80k RRP New
60k Fair Price + 15,000km
50k Market Price

I've bought this spoiler off ebay
I'll be getting it painted and molded to the boot, then it'll look like this.
Still on the fence about keeping/removing the L badge
heres one without badge in white
my car is black, here is one in black with badge
and one in silver

Same situation here. 2007 IS250 sports
bit of a joke really. Should have stuck to Mercedes/BMW

I bought mine with 245s front and back
want to run 235 front / 255 rear though when I replace in another 5000km
Thinking about Kumho KU31s
-
I'm going to be replacing tyres soon also
Have done some research
Everyone says you can use 235/45 on the fronts no problems.
One guy even said the dealers said its fine to do it also.
So don't listen to people who say Lexus spent millions of dollars researching it and you should always use 225
So when I get mine I'll be going 235 front & 245 or 255 rears
I was thinking about Kumho KU39
Or Kumho KU31

What are they doing about the possibility of radiation???

I bought the new F-Sport style grille off ebay for my 2007 Lexus IS250 sport
Doesn't come with badge though so I need to grab one off ebay
Just wondering if this one is the right dimensions?
W:129 x H:88 mm.
-
just thought i'd add
i purchased the Bendix General CT as replacement pads from the local mechanic. $150 for front pair, $150 for rear pair.
No idea how they compare to OEM as my previous weren't OEM i dont think,
that said they provide smooth soft braking and work reasonably well far as I can tell and give off minimal brakedust if any at all..
fyi: my last car was a 2009 BMW 135i which comes stock with Brembo Sports brakes.
Those brakes were SUPER instant feedback + equally SUPER brake dust
I dont mind these ones

Hi Guys
Just an update, I purchased #1
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190526158205&viewitem=
$106 USD + $46 USD Shipping (about the same in Aus Dollar)
Think I might get it powder coated gloss black after having read this thread here so it doesnt blend in too much
I'm also going to find a way to gloss black the grill surround & chrome window trim.
Will take it all to a powder coater and see if they can do it all!
Stay tuned

nice one dude, if you're looking for mods, consider a grille upgrade
I'm saving up for one right now
Going to try replicate this look
-
Comparing two grilles to buy, what do you guys think?
#1 or #2?
-
Found an F Style Grille here
looks great, will probably go for it.
But need to find a place to paint the chrome surround on the grille to a glossy black so it looks nice / contrasts the bumper a bit
-
Cool thanks how do the ones you got compare to kumho ku39?
-
Yea guess so
Just Trying to find one around $100 or so rather than the $200 they're asking for that one
Cause you can now get ISF style front bumpers complete kit for only $450/$500
So spending $200 on just a grille insert is idiotic :/
-
Howdy
Anyone in the country sell F Style Grilles like the following
Trying to find one cheap or at least local rather than buying off Ebay
-
Oh okay thanks
but hey can you tell me more what partial lock etc is
Is having 235 on the front right now perhaps the reason my fronts need alignment?
-
Is that betyer than kumho ku39 cause i got quoted about 319 for fronts and 359for rears which is 1356
Quote from kmart tyres
Is250 Arma Supercharger
in Lexus IS250 / Lexus IS250C / Lexus IS350 / Lexus IS350C Club / Lexus IS-F / IS300h
