I have a 2007 IS250 Sports model with 17 or 18" alloys, not sure what size, its the standard OEM ones that come with the sports model
I'm due for new tires soon and want to get super wide sports ones
What are the options, preferably can someone link me to beaurepaires so I can see the tire / specs
Cheers!

oh cool cool
yea cause i was thinking if i buy a grille off ebay or whatever it'll probably not have those chrome surrounds anyway so yea il probs go down that track first
I like the ISF style grille you even see them on toyota aurions now
-
I seee
Well seeing as I'm broke at the moment I'll have to put this on hold for a while but sounds good
-
I literally got new brakepads yesterday
Bendix General CT DB 1852 on front & Bendix General CT DB 1854 on rear
Most people recommend them as a good pad with low brake dust
They seem good on mine
Cost me $154 for front, 154 for rear
You can find them online for $104 though plus shipping

Can someone post the details of the recall
Does the car still have to be in warranty?
I'm the second owner so do I simply call lexus & book it in
-
grill, you can paint if you want (like i did, but i did mine the same colour as the car, SGM, paint was mixed at autobarn, it costs 18$)
but if you paint it, it'll chip and you'll have to paint it again, im gonna get it painted properly at a mates shop
i've also painted the front and rear emblems matte black
with the window trim im gonna get it painted when the grill goes in for paint
i really like the mudered out theme on that IS, only if my car was black...
haha cool someone doing the same thing
sweet yea I actually want one of those Honeycomb golf style grilles, the slanted ones stock are ugly
did you change your grill at all or just paint etc
-
Yeah I made the mistake of getting them to do it when they have a mobile machiner who charges them $45 callout fee
So yea basically idiot of me for using a workshop that has mobile people to do machining
Oh well its done now
Can you tell me a bit more about your coilovers?
Whatd they cost you $$
Would you recommend them?
I dont mind a bit stiffer but i'd like to retain maximum softness possible while getting some lowering cause stock is too high
-
Semi pissed off
Went to a workshop got a quote $156 for bendix general front brakes & $156 for rears. Okay no biggy
Guy said I'd also need to machine the fronts at about $35
Then after its done he charges $88 for machining, $80 for labour
I could have gone and bought new performance discs for like $150 $200 what the hell do I want machined ones for at that price
Also could have got the brakes on the net for $104 each but thought I'd help a local out
Some good that did..
-
with the grille i was considering buying an aftermarket one cause i dont like the design either.
I'd like the F-Sport grille
But what about window trim, what do i do there
-
I'll check it out
General concensus seems to be that you can't get the same soft ride with just springs
need coilovers, though haven't been able to find out if they're as soft
-
Hey guys
I want to black out the car
Whats the best way to
black the chrome window trim
black the front grille
Ideas / pricing indication anything cheers
END goal:

Hey there
Just bought an IS250 2007 sports with 97,000km on the clock
The brakes are almost done so I need new ones, i'd like some good sporty ones, will spend $100-300
Also want to lower the car from factory height (not too much, but definately lower than stock),
but try to keep the ride softness much as possible
Can you guys recommend a brand of brakes / springs to get
Also, I live in gold coast, so if you can recommend a place to buy/install them feel free
Whats The Widest Sport Tires I Can Get For An Is250 Sports
in Lexus IS250 / Lexus IS250C / Lexus IS350 / Lexus IS350C Club / Lexus IS-F / IS300h
