Yeah cheers, the rears are fine.Mainly when I hit bumps, turning is fine nowWill stiffen the fronts when I get back and see if that helps if not might have to cut the liner and roll the guards and just run with it. Been away in Hawaii for 6 weeks
-
Are your front guards rolled?
-
Ha I was going to say they are pretty stretched as it is.
Running +38 at the front +45 Rear.
Yeah going to stiffen, the front a bit and go from there.
-
Hey I just got my Vossen CV2's fitted and they seem to be rubbing extensively, It'd lowered with BC coilovers. Running 20*9 225/35 Front and 20*10.5 245/35 on the rear. Besides rolling the guards and using a heat gun on the inner liners what else can I do to fix this besides raising the car.
I went to get the front guards rolled and was told couldn't do it as the liner would come off. Anyway around this?
Cheers.

Looks great! What's next on the list!
-
Yeah 730 seems a bit steep, what price range are you looking for considering how much work is actually involved in it?
-
Highly interested in doing this mod, keep us posted n quotes and all that. were abouts in qld are you?
You just doing the molding of the spoiler and raising the quarter or?
Cheers

Hey might be a bit late but they still up for grabs?
-
Quick net search got me this:
http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/c/shave_door_poper/2008_Lexus_Is250
Seems ok, will look into it further
-
Yeah fore going the sensors sounds like my best bet, now just need to find someone willing to do it!
-
Yeah I love the smooth euro look, but also love the stance/vip/hellaflush look so looking to go for a mixture of the two. Each to their own however.
Haha ok then.
Thanks for all that info, helped out heaps. Is it possible to squeeze all the sensor's into the door or will it be another of those price you pay for looking good sort of thing?
Well I'll ask around and see what I can come up with, cheers for your help
-
Yes exactly like that, you can still open the doors, there is an automatic popper that pushes the door open so that you can get in, and you have a manual popper hidden near the mirror or your place of choice for just incase, its big in the mini truck scene
-
Hey I was just wondering if anyone had any clue on the electonics in the door handle (outside), was thinking of having the door handles shaved?? Did a bit or research on the forums and net and haven't come across a lot.
Also aftermarket body kits, Lexus wont touch it and neither will there approved repairer, I'm in townsville but am willing to travel to the gold coast/brisbane area if I have too. Whats involved with the electronics, sensors and the like?
Any and all help would be appreciated
Thanks
-
yes well done and thanks for passing on any pointers
-
Hmm rough price? This is for your 250 brakes, you didnt/aren't upgrading to 350/BBK
-
Wow mines $800 with QBE, I am 21 aswell, so this is phenomanal.
However, mine is through work, and in Townsville so that contributes to it a little bit more
-
Did you get the oem rotors or dba? or something similar?
-
They are, I did a fair amount of poking around to find a nice set of wheels.
I know, I'm not a fan of the cheap looking chromies that everyone sports these days.
Now all I need to do is get a bodykit and I am sorted!
-
Yeah I can see that, looks real nice and flush.
Haha nothing wrong with a bit of poke.
Will go with the vossens, better price for me, Will hopefully get the SSR's one day.
Would love to do the broken leg look but so impractical.
Thanks everyone for their help
-
Thanks for the pics.
Well I would have but at work I can get onto the forum but not see any pictures, but thanks anyway...
Looks nice
-
Hmm still scraping on the front? Tyres to big or offset?
Do you have any pics of this particular set-up?
Yeah I'm looking all over the forums to find what people are running.
How much roughyl for rolling and shaving or did you do it yourself?
-
Hmm ok and you don't think or believe that you can run flush on 20's? Or is that to big a wheel size?
How much of a dump on coils? I've ordered the tanabe sustec pro five's is all.
Very sexy wheels.
Just want to get everything perfect before spending the big bucks!
-
that is a fairly aggrevssive fitment
you'll need fender shaving and rear fender rolling
Hmm what's a better fitment then? 20X9 and 20X10?
What's so bad about the shaving and rolling, why is everyone so against it?
-
They are running F: 20x9 / R: 20x10.5 with no problems, Fired of an email to see if they had any problems.

I don't understand much about exhaust systems but getting the midpipe replaces were the resonator is or just gets rid of the need to do a delete?
