Just had my 2012 IS 350 serviced low k's 39,000 so not as per book
Minor service (low k's)
Replace front brake pads and machined disc rotors total inc parts
Bits and pieces GST etc
Labour - $583
Total - $917 ?????
Does that seem right ???

I wanted white but couldn't get it so took this instead, very glad I did.

I love the ISF but not a fan of the silver center console, the colour of my 350 is a big attraction, people still comment on it even the RACV guy yesterday, Vermillion.
I'd get another Lexus but I just don't like the new models at all.....
-
That's good to hear thanks Howiefied .....
-
Been and gone in an hour, $229 great service by the RACV and didn't have to leave the house.
-
Called the RACV they will be here in 30 minutes, quoted $229 with a 2 year warranty, they had another at $370 but couldn't tell me the difference, same warranty.
Dealer is closed so get it done now and get on with the day....thanks for your help.

Nope you don't but if it is still under warranty or you have lexus roadside assist they'll replace with a new sealed battery for free. Or you can call your local motoring association to have one put in (they always carry the Lexus batteries that are approved by Lexus). Failing that just head over to battery world, as supercheap don't stock the exact maintenance free batteries for lexus last time I checked.
Great thanks....

Does anyone know if you need to go to Lexus to get a new battery
I have a 4 year old is350 needing one
Thanks.....

Got the tyres, while I was waiting I had a look at their specials
magazine and there was one there the "all rounder" $237 for 4 I asked what the difference was between those and the ones I paid $1400 for , he said
"not a lot"

I'm getting the RE003's tomorrow, according to Franky X they're a better tyre and I found they're cheaper than the originals at Bob Jane Prahran, if you're in Melbourne.

I found the RE003's at Bob Jane Prahran.....I'll go with those and they're cheaper than the ER33's !!!

What size rims do you have? Are they a staggered fit?
Yes they are staggered fit, I cant get RE003's in both sizes (front and back) so it's back to the original Turanza ER33
Lexus charge about the same as the 2 dealers I went to so may as well let them do it at service time.
-
Thanks I'll look into it, yes sub 30k seems light.
-
Hi Tony,
I dont know what staggered fit is ?
They are Turanza ER33
255/40 X 18 and
225/40 x 18
Hope that helps, thanks for your reply...

Same question 2012 Is 350 had the car 4 years in Nov only done 29,000k's
Tyres need replacing, (so they tell me)
What should I get ?
Quoted about $1500 for 4 new Turanza, like the original
Thoughts ?

Thanks again.........:)

Excellent quality vid, I want one with a very small camera so it's not in my face when I'm driving.
I might wait till servicing time and get Lexus to install one.

I've got a 2012 iS350 any recommendations for a good dashcam and installation in Melbourne ?
-
The new model has more refinements but the dash layout is appalling and it just isn't anywhere near as responsive.
Put the 2012 is350 in sport mode today just for fun and I had to be careful not to rear end the guy in front.
-
The new ones are not as noisy but not as responsive either......by a long shot...
-
I had it in Sport and it didn't make a lot of difference, I got back in the 2012 and the accelerator was so touchy I had to be careful after the being in the newer one for a day.
Definitely take an 2012 is350 out then the new one and you'll see the difference.
I wanted to buy another Lexus but they don't have anything that interests me right now, even the RC seems too big.
What to expect from a 120k IS350 service at Lexus
in Lexus IS250 / Lexus IS250C / Lexus IS350 / Lexus IS350C Club / Lexus IS-F / IS300h

Thanks for your reply.
I've checked with another dealer seems expensive but not too far out, was more concerned with the labour charge.
Problem is the car is only worth $20k or so and I pay $900 for just a service and brake pads more or less ?
Guess I just got a shock but I don't want to take it to a non dealer.
