    Hi Guys,

I am selling my ISF so car is being returned to stock, if anyone is interested in a Joe Z exhaust get in touch. You can come and have a listen to the car before you buy if you wish.

I am looking for $1,500 PM me if interested

    Is this still available???

  2. Hi Mate,

You will be very happy with the reliability of an ISF, very few if any problems with them, maybe the odd water pump failure on early models but in general they are built like a tank. I also have had a C63, then went to a RS5 after that bought an ISF sold that and bought a M3 now I'm back in a 2013 ISF as I have started doing a lot of km again. C63 is faster and sounds better but no where near the reliability in my opinion, especially as they both age but I do prefer the seats in the C63 and M3. Sound wise the ISF is quiet so you will need to upgrade exhaust if you like noise, not a huge amount of options available though.

Try and get a MY11 ISF as it has the updated dash and daytime running lights plus a few other tweaks, it's worth the extra IMO. They really are super reliable and relatively cheap to maintain except for brakes but you can import your own parts at half the dealer price and as you said excellent bang for your buck.

Hi guys was looking at a lexus high end model as sold my e92 bmw after having huge continuous mechanical issues with only 60k kms

Can i please have help on whether to consider the is f say 2010 model or go for a newer gs f lexus?

    Thanks :)

I didn't have any issues with my M3, it was a later model one though and only had 9,000km when I bought it, I sold it with 42,000km, it really was an awesome car and trouble free ownership.

You won't have any mechanical issues with a late model ISF, they're built like a tank. Personally I would get at least an MY11 or later. The GSF is in a completely different price bracket (twice the price), while I haven't driven one I heard they're beatififul to drive and obviously a lot more modern that the ISF especially inside.

  4. I was in the same boat as you, too many km with work. I do miss my E90 M3 Comp pack, especially the seats/seating position and the 8300rpm redline but love everything else about the ISF. I have an x force Varex exhaust on order, none in the country at the moment.

There was a brand new 2014 white ISF available in Canberra at the end of last year for 95k drive away. The late model low km ones are getting harder to get, this is a nice car but not my ideal colour http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Lexus-IS-F-2014/OAG-AD-12409400/?Cr=0

  5. Yep the ISS was boomy and did drone but do sound good on the outside of car. I'm waiting for the x force Varex system, it's on back order until after Chinese New Year.

My Lexus dealer has some Joe Z PTS systems in stock but wants $5,500 for the exhaust, intake and ported intake manifold, they sound awesome but the drone is almost unbearable plus that's 4 times the price of the x force, admittedly you get the intake and manifold but not worth it in my opinion.

  6. I was offered really good money as it was low km competition pack but I didn't consider what I was going to buy next, I was without a car for 8 weeks, been driving a rental.

I feel that I sit high in the ISF, also the front seats only come up so far, is this normal? My back hurts sometimes so I have my seat quite upright on long journeys but it doesn't seem to go all the way straight, is your car the same?

  7. I'm

I agree that the inside is very dated now but after weighing up performance (naturally aspirated V8), reliability. bulid quality, value for money etc. there not much that compares with the ISF.

..exactly why I picked up my second F too, tried everything out there but as an overall package nothing beats it.

I wonder how you would rate it against the M3 after owning it?

Welcome back to the F family!

Ps: having owned the 08 model which needed the KW upgrade I would not touch the new cars they are just fine. All they need are headers, intake, filter and possibly exhaust IMHO.

    Thank you.

To be honest the M3 is more exciting to drive as it revs to 8300rpm and sounds awesome plus I think the M3 seats and driving position are better than the ISF, seats have a lot more adjustability.

I agree the newer ISF have better suspension than the older models and they drive nicely, I just think they sit a little high especially at the front so I'll be putting in coilovers or lowered springs along with an exhaust to free up some noise.
