  1. Here, that particular scene starts at around 11min:
I should point out this was a stock car apart from the intake and Borla axle back which should add no noticeable power increase, the car had the first gen electronic diff, the only notable upgrades were the KW coilovers. I sure destroyed a set of Cup+ tires that day:)

  2. My first 08 F had over 110.000km on the clock, tracked it regularly with no issues except one which was a mystery. On the track in third-fourth gear the RPM would not go above 5400 it felt like it ran out of puff completely over that RPM range, it happened about 3-4 times on a certain track day then it was gone, got Lexus to check it out they have found no trace of any issues, just thought I'd mention that, I am pretty sure something was overheating as that was the day I raced and beat a 430KW HSV:), I still have it on video somewhere. Apart from that despite the heavy beating the car received it was bullet proof. Lexus mentioned the water pump was needed to be replaced at some stage as it showed some signs of fatigue but that was a minor issue.

Yeah - Canberra distributor told me few weeks ago ETA is 2-3 months advised me ring back at end of May. Dammit there was set on eBay not long ago, not sure if they actually had stock but presumably they did cos the listing has gone.

I've called those Ebay peeps when the listing was active and even then they had no stock the listing was there to take orders only.

That $1600 mark for the headers is in US$. That's around 2057 in aud$ - and that's with the Aussie dollar going up to around 77c.

2057 +1000 install + 300 freight + 300 customs and duties gives you your 3600 price tag. Hope this clears it up for all. 👍😊

The guys at Chatswood are more than fair when it comes to prices and services. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Cheers for the link.  So its about 1.6k for the headers, about 1k to fit and the remaining 1k which equates to 3.6k is for shipping etc?

Pity a local exhaust shop hasnt put in the R&D to produce some headers (not a common car unlike the states so its understandable a workshop wouldnt waste their time).

I remember back in the day ordering a high quality s/steel headers from the states for my WRX.  Price, shipping, and fitted locally all for around 1k.  I had my hopes up the price would be closer to that vs 3.6k lol.

Ah well, many here are saying it gives more gains the exhaust itself.  If true, guess ill have to get a set eventually :-)

Don't forget no matter today's prices we are talking about Lexus flagship vehicles not Subaru. It's a big job to fit them and if not done correctly you are in for endless headaches. You've got a premium vehicle you should get premium accessories and installed professionally otherwise you might be in for a world of pain. Just sayin ;) For argument's sake look at the competition ex M3 what do they cost for a similar upgrade?

  6. From my experience the 2011+ outshines the 08 with coliovers on both comfort and handling. Of course within certain limits, racing coliovers will make it more aggressive on the track for sure.

All you need is a latest Sony phone, they have phenomenal audio capabilities. Trust me I am an AV phile :) It will transform the audio experience in the car well beyond CD quality if using lossless tracks.

  7. I wonder how much improvement a coilover upgrade would make to the 2011+. I've done them on my ex 08 and they made a significant difference but am not sure the 2011+ need them. I've fixed the audio issue. All you need is a proper sound processor in the chain the speakers are good.

  8. I don't really care for the gadgets what interests me is the performance and 2011 up they all have the upgraded bits. Mind you I've had a 2008 model and upgraded to the 2011, all was perfect except the audio system is shockingly poor compared to the 2008. Especially the Bluetooth streaming option (2011 does not have it), the sound quality in general is way down. That is only important if you value proper sound.
