Search eBay for the below  but I needed to get a small extension cable too as otherwise the skip button wouldn't extend past the sliding compartment. Sounds kinda dodgy, but end result still looks neat, and I don't have any loss in sound quality either

looked up the griffin bluetrip, quite a few reviews mention good voice quality, poor music quality? music is obviously what i want it for. also needs to stream efficiently. i have been in some cars, and the music lags over bluetooth, doubt its my phone as its an iphone 6s. 

whats a "linkbk"? tried searching for it, but couldnt find exactly what it is. who manufactures it

my 2011 is350 f sport has bluetooth for phone calls, but not for music streaming. since i have most of my music on apple music (which isnt easily transferable to a usb stick) i have been using an aux cable to listen to my music recently. obviously because of this i can only control the volume via the car, skipping a track needs to be done on the phone. i actually can skip tracks, with some trickery: i purchased a 3.5mm cable with the iphone type controls, which when you double click, skips the song, so i have this part lying near the gear shift so i can skip a song without taking my eyes off the road or needing to touch my phone, which in vic, can get you a hefty fine

i have seen some bluetooth aux devices, which dont seem to have to many user reviews, however they are cheap. has anyone used one, or could recommend a good one

free loan car? lexus of blackburn said yes technically its free, however if there is an accident, i would need to pay $3000. or i could pay $30 to reduce this to something like $500...

i would just do the rounds at all the local wreckers, surely one of them will have an is250\350 with a working touch screen. i know there are some on ebay from time to time

dont buy fake rims, not worth the potential trouble.

you do know that all your getting for your $189 is changed throttle percentages?

as in, currently you press the throttle 50%, your $189 kit will move this to around 25%

its just a perception mod, all you need to do is press the throttle more

but i do admit i have a 2011 model, and havent driven an 08, so it could have a 'laggy' throttle feel...

most likely the reason why lexus want to change it, even though they dont really need to, is to cover themselves. car manufacturers get sued left right and center for nearly everything nowdays, so rather than leave a potential problem, they either make it a recall or just add it as a part that needs to be changed during a service

unless your having any negative side effects, you could most likely get away with not changing it

heres my contribution: a few years back i was went to japan for a holiday, and as any car enthuasist would do, i went to superautobacs. for those that dont know, superautobacs is kind of like a mega supercheat auto, with entire isles dedicated to single products, eg: car refreshner

anyways, back then i had a 98 TT Supra so i bought some goodies for it, including a TRD fuel cap, which is literally a cover that sits on your current fuel cap, just a dress up really. anyway, because it sits ontop of your current fuel cap, the way the Supra was designed, you couldnt end up closing the fuel lid properley. So i just ended up storing it and forgot about it. Was doing some spring cleaning recently and thought for a lol see if it fits on the IS350, and it does!

just an update to this, i got new front tyres and the problem has all but gone. the last mechanic must have put them on some insane way to make the car behave like that!

mines a late 2010 build is350 f-sport which mainly gets driven in peak hour traffic, and once again, i average 10.8L/100km

the figures you are quoting are literally 5L V8 type consumption, no way should a 3.5 V6 ever consume that much, whoever you took it to is just talking nonsense, either take it back to them and see a different person, or take it to a different dealer all together

you could even go to the used car section, and i can most likely gaurantee this, hop in every IS350 they have and just flick thru to the average fuel consumption menu, none of them will have a figure that high

just to recap for you, ive had many high performance turbo cars in the past, and none of them have had a fuel consumption figure that high!

definitley something very wrong there sorry. what did lexus have to say when they ran a diag

thanks for that, however it appears that product isnt out yet, i would at like read some real use reviews before dropping $299 on an uknown product, however if it does work and does what the webpay says it can do, it would be an amazing product!

Does anyone have experience with aftermarket h.u.d's? most of my previous cars have had a digital speedo so im used to seeing a number instead of just the tacho

thanks for all the feedback guys. ive run kumho ku36's in the past, might also consider them for when i need to replace the rears, had them on a modified twin turbo supra and they put the power down very nicely :)

seems pretty high to me,but everyone drives different. i do a majority of driving in traffic and im sitting on 10.8

even my previous sports car (twin turbo 3L 6) never went that high...
