love the results man - good for you for going all out!!!

    just a question - why dyno in 4th? Isn't 6th gear the truest 1:1

as a rule of thumb our cars read a little higher in 4th.

not trying to bash at all - just wanting to know the 'method behind the madness'

No idea why sonny tunes in 4th gear . Both tunes he has done is in 4th. To be honest numbers don’t do much for me as long as I feel the car performs better after the tune and is reliable every time I start her up I’m happy

I’ve finally got my car booked in next Friday at autowerks with sonny after the headers went on in January. Very interested to see how it preforms after the tune .

Today was the day for the retune with Sonny at Autowerks , Below is the results from 1st tune in march last year and the 2nd is todays runs . Car is smooth and revs quickly through to redline . A good result I think . scan0003.thumb.jpg.d1b0f0cab4991abf450c08dd9367c3a7.jpgscan0008.thumb.jpg.9fbad984f1fbd7aec8fb7ea4d8bc1d83.jpg

Make sure you tell him what year model it is. I had big trouble with my tune, loosing all throttle in traffic  very dangerous, he eventually believed me, it was a tune related issue, all good after tilt tow back to him from Moruya $$$. If in hind sight I would have gone RR Racing.

Thanks for that , I read your story on what happened to your car , this is just a retune or a touch up as such since getting headers installed.

Sometimes a small dab of moly grease on shims and pins helps.

Thanks for bazzle , I’ve just taken the pads off and done exactly that , gave them a good clean then greased them up will see how that goes . Cheers

I have the NS400 on my wife's car and there's no squeal. When you fitted them, did you do a break-in?  Sometimes when you fit green new pads without a break-in, they'll be noisy.

FYI, find a quiet street and do about 15 medium-strength (enough to dip the nose) stops from 70km/h.  Try not to stop, and just accelerate up to 70 again when you've slowed to a walking pace.  Rinse and repeat until you get up to 15 stops, then cruise around and let the airflow cool the brakes.  This will heat up the pads and leech out the resins etc that are leftover from manufacturing, and it also lays down a thin layer of brake pad material on the disc surface.

It's not too late to try this if it's still squealing.

Yeah did a heap of 80km to slowing around the streets when bedding in the pads and rotors. I thought it might be the shims or the pins that might be making the noise

OK its been a while who has fitted there PPE s and give us a HONEST opinion on power added and the extra sound, and the price for fitting with cats, is it really night and day as the Yanks say, and has anyone got before and after dyno results as if I see some good results I will get them cheers F  people

My car is now extremely loud being cat less. Hitting rev limiter comes a lot quicker than it use to . I will have it tuned in the next month so i will be keen to see how much extra power  the headers produce.

Agreed.  Had them on my car for a while now and no complaints at all.  Little dust and no squealing etc.  Great for street use

    FYI

Getting a bit anxious and thought id alleviate some of the pain of the Mod having to chase it up so got in contact with PPE direct for an update.  This was from late last week

Yes, we have a large order for some RHD headers in production right now.  We have a few done in fabrication and the rest should be done in fab late next week.  We only have one fixture and they take a little over a day to make a set.  We have one fabricator working on them until they are all done.

Hey mate are you going back to sonny to retune your car . If you are has he quoted you how much . Cheers

+1 keen for this. Can we get a smaller group buy going for the USRS bushings too?

this is also on my list on my list after the headers which are purchased already with group buy.
