Steve
So, who’s having a car change in 2013? What car are you thinking of getting? Or are you happy with your car and if you are, tell us what makes you happy about it
ISF-350
I was planning on trading my 2011 IS350 F Sport on the new 3IS350 F Sport late in 2013 (around September - when my current IS turns 2) but I bought a second car for work (new BT50 Dual Cab) last month so might put the IS purchase on hold for a further 6 months or so and wait until 2014 for a new IS. Depends on finances of course. Will try and stay away from the dealer when they are released because I know I won't be able to help myself. Also got a few holidays lined up for 2013 so a new car may not work in with those either. Must refrain from buying a new car every year! :D

Bowen Yong
am getting an Evoque due to a change in circumstances..bybye lexus ISF :( Evoque is a great car! A lot of good reviews! you might also wanna consider the Q5, My dad has it, very smooth and comfy! and the panoramic sunroof is amazing! but maintenance cost is relative high, it requires it every 5000km just like every other german cars. Poisson
I've got mine! Sold my 2006 RX350 for a new RX450h. :) :) It's a nice upgrade, tonnes of torque, much better consumption (8 L/100km compared with 12 on the old car), and better electronics. On the down side, the old car had lots of storage space under the boot floor and a much more usable centre console. The new one has hardly any storage at all :( By the way - the comment about servicing on German cars: Benz and (I believe) BMW have variable servicing intervals depending on the distance you drive, how you drive, climatic conditions etc. On my beloved's C-class we usually take it in once a year even though the computer is telling us there's no need to. Servicing is reasonably cheap - certainly no more than Lexus.

Vaku
well for 2013 I got my IS350 which I do really love. 2014 I am considering if things go well possibly soon upgrading to a MY11 or up ISF or 3IS 350 f sport. assuming I can do it its an awesome position to be in from one perspective, from another its driving me crazy. on one hand I love the idea of a japanese v8, love that its a sleeper, love the 8 speed but the interior is very dated. then you have the new 350 with an amazing interior, exterior.. growing on me ( love the headlights, not a fan of the rear) but with the same engine (granted it has the 8 speed) and that 'new factor' just... cant.... decide.. I know even if I end up with the 3IS 350 which is obviously a beautiful car, if an ISF passes me and I hear that v8... yeah... lol. but then.. new.. mm. will report back in a few months.. :)
DO IT
well for 2013 I got my IS350 which I do really love. 2014 I am considering if things go well possibly soon upgrading to a MY11 or up ISF or 3IS 350 f sport. assuming I can do it its an awesome position to be in from one perspective, from another its driving me crazy. on one hand I love the idea of a japanese v8, love that its a sleeper, love the 8 speed but the interior is very dated. then you have the new 350 with an amazing interior, exterior.. growing on me ( love the headlights, not a fan of the rear) but with the same engine (granted it has the 8 speed) and that 'new factor' just... cant.... decide.. Coming from an IS350f, I wanted a MY11 ISF or a 3IS350 f sport. I nearly bought the 3IS due to the 'new factor' and interior but decided to wait a bit longer (trade in wasn't great) Another factor that made me lean to the 3IS more was the cheaper insurance (nearly half the annual premium of a my11 ISF). Circumstances have now changed and probably wont get a car until 2015. What is more important to you? Technology & the new factor of the 3IS or the power and rarity of the ISF? Have you considered the RC350/ RCF? Looking forward see what you decide on :) Edited January 28, 2014 by DO IT
Vaku
The RC looks amazing, I previously had a 370z and didn't really enjoy the attention it was getting (hence the Lexus IS / why i love the sleeper aspect of the F) blends in, but at the same time sort of doesn't :) I really could go either way I'm a huge tech geek love that it has driving modes and adjustable suspension and the gauges etc just wish they would have done something with the 3.5 to give it a bit more power or just something to it that would have completely convinced me to get one. Something about forking out for a car that is all new but still essentially the exact same engine as I have now .. Hmm and if they do something to the engine on the my16 update for eg it would really hurt. Either way il be in a Lexus so it's all good :)
ISF-350
Well I stuck to my original plan in post number 2 of this thread..... My new 2014 IS350 F Sport should arrive this time next month - very excited to say the least!
Vaku
edit - scrap that, still on the fence between the F and 3IS 350.. lol.

TubStar
Hmmm I'm about to breakup with 2006 Lexus IS250 after a solid 4-5 years with her but some of the options I've considered include: 2011+ NIssan 370z $40K+ 2006 Porsche Cayamn 987 $60k Infiniti Q50 $60k 2009 BMW Z4 35i 65k+ Possibly wait it out and save for the 2015 Lexus RCF which would be priced at 110k+
