Well i know i may not get much help here given there aren't many other 3IS owners as yet, but is worth asking. I have filled up a number of times over the past few weeks and have noticed that the Average Fuel / after refuel, does not always reset. I haven't let it get below 1/4 full, not that that should matter.

The 2IS was great and would reset the tank average each time; however with the 3IS there seems to be some inconsistencies.

Is there something I need to do to have this reset or should it happen automatically like the 2IS? I just find it strange that it has only worked about 50% of the time I fill up.

  • 2 weeks later...

For those who don't already know, I picked up an IS 350 F Sport myself late last month. I'll post some thoughts on my ownership experience once I have enough to say that hasn't already been said.

FrankyX. I have also noticed a problem with the Fuel Consumption readout "After Refuel". I refilled 1/2 to 3/4 of the tank when my fuel consumption "After Reset" was around 14.2 L/100 km. After driving 2-3 km uphill, at rather slow speed with plenty of idle time, I consumed around 25 L/100km "After Start". But the stated fuel use "After Refuel" was 15.1-15.2 L/100 km, when it should be equal to the consumption "After Reset"!

This suggests to me that the fuel use "After Refuel" is actually never reset, but probably equal to the fuel use since the car was manufactured. I'll keep an eye on it, and try out a couple of things, and will keep you posted.

After filling up today; and over the past few weeks, I have determined that the 'After Refuel' number is reset after every 2nd refill and the average begins again.

There seems no logic behind every 2nd refuel. Strange.
