Extended Warranty.

Just wondering how many of you have extended your warranty?

I have a 2010 ISF, so warranty is ending next week.

I'm just getting my rear drive shafts replaced as there's noise in them.

Mulling over the $2k or so for 3 years of factory warranty.....the only thing putting me off getting it is the fact i probably won't use it being a Lexus....

I WILL have this car for over 3 years.

I bought an extended warranty for my 2010 IS 250 at purchase time.

I was sold it on the suggestion that, while the mechanics probably won't fail, the electronics could. I vaguely recall a recent post that someone did get some electronics fixed under extended warranty.

Being an ISF I would spend the $2000. I have an 2010 IS250 and optioned not to have the extended warranty but if I had an ISF, then I would.

$2000!!! Eeek. My warranty is up at the end of the year and I was thinking of extending but $2,000.00 that is a lot of coin but on the other hand so are repairs on these Beasts.

I think I would take it - Even an electrical fault on this car will be expensive to fix.

I opted not to take it.

I am a gambler after all lol.

The money will be going toward my new rims instead!

do you have to be the original owner etc?

or is it just as long as the car is within warranty you can extend regardless of owner etc?

Just within warranty regardless of owner :)

Get them to double check expiry though as Melbourne told me it was in august then Adelaide lexus checked the computer system which was much earlier.

What rims (brand/size/offset) are you looking at occxlr8ed?

Work S1R 19x9.5 +25 , 19x10.5 +35, BBF finish, R disk all around. :)

Also I ended up ordering the lexon front lip in cf, Wald rear spoiler in fpr and Wald rear diffuser.

Also enquiring about the Figs lowering 'kit'

And also deciding between bc racing coils with swift springs or tein comfort sport...

Will also debadge the rear besides the Lexus logo. Just will look too busy with the diffuser on there imo
