Hi all first time poster here.

I have had my new ISF for about a month and I am loving it. But the roads around where I live are terrible like most of Victoria I guess. So I am finding the ISF a little on the firm side. Years ago I had a R33 GTS-T with Bilstein shocks and whitelines springs. Its been a long time but I swear it rode better than the 08 ISF. I am not fussed about lowering, it may a slight bit in the front.

Its not a massive issue but something I intend to fix in the future. The car currently has 70k so I am thinking sooner rather than later the shocks may be getting past there best.
I am happy with the cars handling ability. I don't plan on tracking the car, but do intend on a few spirited runs through the twists and turns through the mountains, but certainly nothing crazy. So id like not to sacrifice the handling but improving it isnt the main goal either.

I have been researching forums and it seems 08 suspension is on the firm side for many. Some are saying its under sprung and over damped others say its not.  Most info is from the states and of course there are far more options over there.

BC coilovers seems to be a popular options. But there is a lot of chatter about spring rates 10kg 14kg or 12kg 16kg. I see mixed results some saying it made a massive difference, some say it doesn't. But also some are lowering there car a lot at the same time. Its hard to read between the lines. Swift spring upgrade seems popular but again not an option here.

HKS hypermax type S. Is another more costly option, but can they be sourced locally? warantys etc.

Keeping the stock suspension and going for Bilstein shocks  another option but again these need to be imported.

2012+ suspension said to be more compliant  but seems very expensive.

What are people running? and are you finding your car more complaint than stock? Are there some good suspension specialists in Melbourne to speak to?

Thanks sounds like a good idea, I also like that its still in a way oem. As these cars are pretty rare, any ideas on where to source some good second hand stuff?

Also is there anything I need to be aware of (extra parts required) when putting 12+ suspension into an 08.

When it comes time perhaps I should be swapping other components in the suspension so its more like a 12+ handing wise ?
