Hey, well guess I'm officially an "Altezza Girl" now that I have my wheels! Yay!!

Picked it up on Thursday, and haven't taken much time out from driving it since then!

I'm loving driving my car. Having a manual car for the first time is taking a bit of getting used to,

so if any of you are driving around, I'm the yellow altezza taking off really slowly at the lights,

so I don't stall it! (only stalled five times since Thursday!!!!!!!) But I am getting better each day!!! hehe :) :)

It's great to be first (or one of the first) girl members of the club.

Surely there are more of us out there, cos they are such a great car!!!! :)

I saw a really nice Altezza in Auckland City last night. Not sure if he is a member of

the club or not, but its great seeing other Altezza's on the road!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing others of you out and about, and definately at the next meet!

The mags do say B.I.M. Creative Studios on them. Is it an ok brand??

They match in really well on my yellow car, with the black mags and yellow writing on them.

We went driving around on Friday, and did end up in the city [Auckland], so it probably was me!

I have been surprised that there are not that many Altezza's around, but love it when I do see others out and about! :)

Well, you picked one of the worst clutches to learn on! Many of them, mine included, are very shuddery when the car is cold, and smooth out a bit after half an hour of driving.

They are so bad that Toyota would replace them under guarentee in Japan when the cars were new.

Generally it is nowhere near as easy or as nice as my Nissan Sentra to buzz around town in, but it sure shines on the open road!

One day I'll get an 'ordinary' flywheel and clutch fitted, which should smooth it out no end.

it was last year, i saw a yellow altezza with the same black mags with yellow writing on them in autotrader or something.. maybe the same car?

anyway, your car sure looks hot! do you have other pics of your car?

      LS460 Folding Mirror Doesn't Stop.

      Hi. The driver's mirror on my RHD LS460 folds in and out okay, but when folding in, it gets to the stop position but keeps trying to go further, so it continuously clicks. Is this repairable, or will the mirror have to be replaced? Has anybody fixed this problem? If so, how? Cheers.

      Carplay issues with iPhone IOS 18.1 making & receiving calls

      Just wondering if anyone else has recently encountered the following issue: I have two phones now running with IOS 18.1, an iPhone SE and iPhone 16 and they both are having the same problem, i.e. when making a phone call, the party I'm calling can just barely make out what it is I'm saying. I first encountered the problem with my iPhone 16 and at first thought it was the cable connecting to the USB-C on the phone. I went out and purchased a wireless CarPlay adapter which circumvented the problem. However today I needed to connect the iPhone SE and it too got the same problem in that when making a phone call, the person I'm calling can just barely make out what it is I'm saying. Checking sites in the USA it appears to be a common problem. UPDATE: The problem did not exist using IOS versions prior to IOS 18

      Driving Light

      Hi Peter, After taking onboard your suggestions and a few good nights sleep to mull over options the new driving lights are installed and working. No holes were drilled into vehicle but I did cut a small slot into back of the larger plastic fuse box cover/lid to source power from jump start terminal. (12v battery is in boot of NX 450h+) The wiring was a little fiddly but not having to take the dash apart was a huge bonus to installing the XBB kit. Was able to ‘reuse’ relay base from wiring harness supplied with Ultra Vision lights. Fitted a 20 amp inline fuse as lights draw 13.2 amps total. Smart button works a treat so can have high beam on without driving lights. So glad that I found this forum when I did, Neil
