ldc
Anyone got one for their Is250, how much and where to get it? What is the part number?
Turbo4
what's the point? It's not an Evo. You might gain.... 1 kW.
ldc
The point is for better airflow and lifetime filter. All about maintenance for my baby.
Turbo4
fair enough :) I'd imagine any good Jap parts importer, particularly ones that specialise in Toyota bits. Maybe try a Supra forum and look for vendors?
Art_76
If you're in Sydney. Rocket Industries in Blacktown can order from the US. They cost AU$90 plus shipping which is free if you get the slow boat option which can take around 8 weeks or around $170 for express air. dafidav
go here: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/performa...mp;categoryid=3 i was chatting online with their live support team and they say they do ship to australia however, as i was talking to the guy from that shop, he said those parts sold there online fit left hand side vehicle, thus will not fit into australia right hand sided is250 is this true? cheers
ldc
I think the k&n can be used/fitted on either side, so unless the overall shape is the same it'll still work. $170 is expensive thought.
dafidav
i guess changing from RHS to LHS drive affects the shape of the filter, but im not too sure, anyone got any info this matter? because the guy from autowarehouse was confident that it would not fit Aus model
Art_76
The shape of the K & N filter is the same regardless of where you get the filter from.
dafidav
really? then why did that guy tell me otherwise!! hmmmm maybe ill just order one from the usa and see what happens
ldc
The only thing i can think of that may differ is the part number. US have different number reference to AU.
dafidav
does anyone know where i can get a filter in aus? not really wanting to order from the states, too long wait on postage
Art_76
The only thing i can think of that may differ is the part number. US have different number reference to AU. There is no difference in the part numbers between the US and AU. You can buy K & N Filters from most places however you will find that for the IS250 they will get the filter from Rocket Industries which get it from K & N in the US. So why pay a middleman when you can contact Rocket directly and they can get it for you. The filter itself is $90 and shipping depends on how long you want to wait for it. I paid $59 and got it within 7 business days or wait 6 - 8 weeks and pay nothing for shipping. Just be careful some places will try and tell you that the Toyota Camry filter will fit which just shows how ignorant some people are. dafidav
thanks for the info Art, will contact them now but im also thinking of getting a short ram intake kit rather than just a filter will see what the costs are though
