I have recently bought a tiptronic RS200 Altezza.

When I accelerate through the rev range I get a very strong/buzzing vibration thru the accelerator pedal at about 3000 revs.

It disappears when I accelerate further, but does make driving the car somewhat uncomfortable at around the 3000 rev range.

Has anyone heard of this problem before, and if so, is it serious enough to warrant me taking my car in for a check, or could it be part of the VVti system???

Thanks

It is just the 3SGE engine!! They all do that, as part of their charm....

If you slow down from 4000 through 3000rpm you will get a distinct buzzing resonating in the 3000rpm range that goes throught he whole car. I often wonder if changing the exhaust manifold and whole exhaust pipe would get rid of it.

Lol Muzz. The buzz comes through the accelerator in mine, but not at the same revs...

Hey Shannon, don't be surprised when the brakes go 'Clunk' when starting to drive in the morning.

There's a post in the early archives about owning an Altezza. It lists a few of the tricks.
