Changing Rear Speakers In 1992 Es 300

relatively easy to do, can be done by anyone, even those with no clue on car audio...

The biggest part of the job is removing the parcel tray...

First, take out the back seat, both the bottom (just lift at the front of it and it'll pop up) and the back of it (2 12mm bolts under it at each door and lift up to unhook it at the top)

2nd, take off the 2 interior panels that go up the pillar by by the back window (simple, just carefully pop them off, no bolts or anything)

we now have a bare free parcel tray, along the front (previously hidden by the back seat) carefully pop out the black clips (may need to be careful and use a big flatblade screwdriver or similar to lever them out enough), and there should be a few more each side including under where the seat belt lays. these black clips are all that hold it in position, once they are all out it will easily lift out with no coaxing.

After this u now have your 6x9 speakers showing, 4 bolts on each and your speakers are out and can be replaced
